This role sits in the Retail Advanced Analytics & Data Chapter Area and would focus on Insights, Reporting, Advanced Analytics and Customer Communications in Home Buying Domain. You will report into the Chapter Area Lead RBS Data & Advanced Analytics. People leadership, building capability and development of Chapter members, and delivering work as a squad member (staying ‘on the tools’) would be key to the success of this role. 

 

The Chapter Lead develops the capability of individuals in a chapter instance, manages performance and talent processes in addition to performing work in the Squad or CoE. This is a Senior Manager role. 

  

On a day-to-day basis, you will: 

  • Explore and define analytics solutions and capability uplift for Home Buying in collaboration with Product Owners.  

  • Provide people leadership and management including onboarding, hiring, skill building, career development, coaching, performance management and individual and team engagements for Chapter members, in line with guidance from the Chapter Area and / or Practice. 

  • Design, develop and maintain appropriate metrics reporting to provide extensive view of HB domain business (operation, campaign, pricing etc) to drive data driven decisions. 

  • Provide thought leadership on how to use data driven insights as part of problem-solving methodology with clear definition of problem statement, solution proposals and success measurement. 

  • Implement and support consistent ways of working across the Chapter, in particular driving culture of continuous improvement and sustainable solutions to deliver business and customer outcomes. 

  • Contribute to the uplift of the Chapters analytics maturity through SME knowledge and by driving and fostering collaboration across Chapter instances to create a growth mindset culture of sharing, learning and problem solving. 

  • Participate and contribute to the Data Analytics Practice and / or Chapter Area including maintaining technical experience commensurate with their specific Chapter 

  • Excellent stakeholder and collaboration skills to ensure the data and analytical solutions are driving incremental value to supporting business growth strategy

  • Have experience working in a role involving leadership, data analysis, insights and analytics within financial services 

  • Are passionate about leading people to become the best they can be 

  • Possess exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement and presentation skills 

  • Have the ability to understand corporate frameworks and have a keen eye for deriving value from data 

  • Demonstrates an Insights, Analytics or Data Science background 

  • Advanced SQL experience working on Teradata or another similar database 

  • Hands on knowledge of BI Tools, such as Tableau or Power BI. 

  • Experience with other languages such as Python or SAS, or tools such as Alteryx is well regarded 

  • Experience in data driving marketing campaign and customer contact strategy is desirable
