Lumentum is seeking a Senior Tests Engineer to work on Brazil - Campinas R&D site. This person will play a key role in the design and development of next-generation optical communication products. This position will include dealing with optical devices, transceivers, and hardware/firmware testing.

In addition to working closely with the rest of the Brazilian team, you will collaborate with other R&D engineering groups including hardware, firmware, mechanics, optical packaging, and verification.

Responsibilities will include:

• Lead automation tests strategy for lab experiments and product testing (GPIB, Ethernet, USB)

• Develop tests for high volume product testing in industry (test design for manufacturing) including testing tools and testing algorithms for calibration/validation of devices

• Create product test plans and cases (including hardware, firmware, optical devices and optical systems) as well as product testing specifications

• Deal with data analysis and statistics for product development

• Support product qualification testing process

• Answer for technical issues/testing reports from clients and higher management in an accurate and clear way

• Provide support of technical issues at all product lifecycle.

Skill requirements:

• Bachelors/Masters in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related fields

• 4+ years of experience as product test engineer

• 4+ years of experience with quality/performance product testing

• Experience with hardware and firmware integration

• Experience with hardware and firmware testing

• Experience with microcontrollers, ADC/DAC and analog/digital circuit designs and hardware schematics capture

• Debugging skills

• Programming languages: C#, Python

• Test jigs development and knowledge in optical systems is a plus
