Job Description:

If you love numbers and have a good analytical mind this position represents an exciting challenge for you. You will thrive in a dynamic team whose mandate is to analyze marketing campaigns, revenue and claims of TD Insurance's. You will be asked to produce forecast and various analyses and reports using company data. These analyses will allow you to work with a team of dynamic professionals who understand and define different business needs in line with strategic initiatives within TD Insurance. Finally, this position offers excellent career opportunities within the TD Bank Group.

Main responsibilities

• Develop analytic solutions to support insights generation.
• Serve as an authority on a given business domain and provide business expertise to place context around analytics discovery.
• Educate business partners and build awareness on how to interpret the data and analytics to drive decision making that will move the business forward.
• Perform analysis, translating data into information, and answering business questions (hypotheses, testing, data gathering, analysis, story building, and communication to stakeholders).
• Interpret analytic outputs and data by using visualization to illustrate business insights.
• Work with stakeholders to conduct scenario planning & analysis and interpret trends and variances.
• Provides consultative advice to guide analytics developments through regular communication with business partners/stakeholders that define business requirements.
• Recommend new business or operational strategies based on analysis and insights.

Profile sought

• Bachelors or Master's degree in Actuarial, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Information Technology, Business Science or any other relevant discipline (if combined with relevant experience).
• Excellent academic results could be considered.
• Bilingual (English and French).
• Has strong organizational and time management skills
• Be rigorous and very analytical. Oriented towards quality.
• Master Excel, PowerPoint & Word, VBA and programming in SQL, R, Python.
• Demonstrate highly developed analytical skills.
• Work efficiently in a team setting.
• Has the ability to synthesize results.
• Be independent and persistent.
• Be creative in finding new solutions to complex problems.
• Know how to manage time and multiple projects simultaneously.
• Autonomous and perseverant; shows initiative and creativity in his/her work.
• Highly adaptable for discussion with stakeholders of different departments, including with Executives.
• Endorse TD's values.

• Expertise in Tableau
• Knowledge in General Insurance
• Knowledge of data mining methods
• Master concepts of statistical forecasting
• Experience with Guidewire Claims / Policy Center or a similar software
