Job Description
As a Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in building and optimizing our data infrastructure to enable robust, data-driven decision-making across the organization. You’ll work hands-on with cutting-edge technologies, lead complex projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable data solutions that meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Pipeline Development
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to integrate, transform, and load data from diverse sources using tools such as Databricks and Fivetran.
- Optimize data workflows for performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Data Warehouse Development
- Collaborate with analysts and data scientists to maintain and enhance the data warehouse architecture for analytics and machine learning.
- Ensure data models are efficient and support key business use cases.
- ETL/ELT Processes
- Develop ETL/ELT processes to extract, transform, and load data, ensuring timely and accurate data delivery.
- Automate and monitor ETL workflows to ensure continuous reliability.
- Data Quality & Monitoring
- Implement tools and frameworks to ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency.
- Proactively identify and resolve data issues to maintain high-quality datasets.
- Collaboration
- Partner with software engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
- Share knowledge and collaborate to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- System Performance
- Monitor and optimize the performance of data systems to handle current and future workloads efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related challenges in real-time.
- Documentation & Standards
- Create and maintain documentation for data pipelines, workflows, and system configurations.
- Promote best practices for data governance, coding standards, and security.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering with hands-on expertise in building scalable and reliable data platforms.
- Proven experience with data pipelines, data integration, and warehouse optimization.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Must Have:
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Hands-on experience with tools like Databricks, ELT/ETL (preferably Fivetran), SQL, Python, and Spark.
- Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with event-tracking tools like Segment.
- Problem-Solving:
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex data engineering challenges.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field

Compensation:
- Base Salary: $100k - $120k
- Bonus - 10% of annual earnings
