PROJECT OVERVIEW
- Seeking a data manager to implement and optimise the organisation's data management strategy
- Focus on implementing the data usage controls implementation (hands-on), data maturity assessments, data quality and managing technical vs. business data elements.
- The ideal candidate should possess a clear understanding of data management principles and concepts, data governance in financial services experience and stakeholder management skills, enabling the organisation to maximise the value of its data assets to ensure compliance, governance and quality to stakeholders.
- Experience working with the concept of data assets is preferred
THINGS YOU WILL DO
- Asset maturity assessment and alignment across DAO controls for assets
- Alignment to organisations data management strategy through the data management function and to requirements from the business
- Implement and manage data usage control frameworks (incl data quality and data lineage)
- Data discovery- work with Data Analyst/Pod Leads and framework owners to perform requirements analysis for population, maintenance and completeness of metadata across data elements
- Work with technical and business stakeholders to define, maintain, and support application, business glossary, data integration, and business data categories to data modelling resources in Collibra.
- Enforce data governance policies / frameworks and standards to ensure accuracy, consistency and security of data to our consumers
- Validate completeness of data lineage and complete yearly certification of the assets
- Programme management- Provide periodic status reports and updates on key business progress towards assets implementation
SKILLS & EXPERIENCES YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
- Proficiency in data governance and quality management in data analytics / financial services industry
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Good to know programming and scripting languages like SQL and data management tools like Collibra / Solidatus
- Preferred certifications; Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
