Job Title:  Associate Consultant for Data Engineering Services

 

Geo Location: Bangalore

 

Experience:

Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in designing ETL processes, Data Visualization and Transformation solutions using PowerBI, Alteryx, SQL, and Tableau.

 

Responsibilities: 

 

1. Develop Power BI dashboard reports based on the extraction of data from relational databases and flat files. Alteryx workflow was used to transform and load data into tables for reporting requirements. 
2. Designs and develops ETL solutions and perform data manipulation tasks using best practices and most appropriate data management tools including Alteryx, SQL queries and database stored procedures.                                                                                                         
3. Analyze data requirements, complex source data, and the data model, and determine the best methods in extracting, transforming, and loading the data into the data staging/appropriate database systems.
4. Provide insights through data analysis and reporting that aids decision making gather requirements, create and analyze reports, and translate into actionable recommendations and strategies. Design and manage complex  dashboards for operational/performance reporting metrics and status reports                                                                     
5. Gather requirements from users, business stakeholders and leadership to propose solutions that meet business needs, and deliver agreed upon solution
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience interacting with US onshore stake holders at multiple levels as well as ability to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to synthesize data into written narrative and communicate findings effectively
7. Ability to work on multiple projects and/or with multiple supervisors and be able to prioritize work without intensive direction from supervisors

 

Qualifications

 

1. 2-4 years of hands-on skills and experience in PowerBI, Alteryx Designer, Alteryx Server, and the tools with Alteryx such as Preparation, Join, Parse and Transform. 
2. A minimum of 3+ experience in design, develop, deploy, and maintain Microsoft Power BI reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards
3. PowerBI, Alteryx Designed core/Designer Advanced Certification is a plus. 
4. Design and develop ETL workflows and datasets in Alteryx. Prepare technical specifications and documentation for Alteryx workflows.
5. A strong experience with relational SQL databases with 1-2 years of actual hands-on experience in writing complex SQL stored procs and designing ETL packages in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). Relevant experience in SQL 
6. A minimum of 2+ years hands on experience Microsoft BI solution offerings including Power BI/Power BI Apps, SQL Server Stack (SSIS SSAS, SSRS), Power Pivot and Excel.
7. Candidates with Knowledge of Azure (Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory) data management experience, along with parallel coding experience in languages including R and Python will be preferred.
8. Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field like economics, finance, statistics, data science, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field with strong academic qualifications; advanced degree is a strong plus.
