This individual will partner with IT, Product, Analytics, Business, and Vendor teams to ensure that each system component meets business requirements and is free of defects. This includes end-to-end testing of data flows and UI components, documenting defects, and collaborating with developers to deliver a seamless solution that drives revenue growth and efficiency.
The employee will build upon and expand their knowledge of revenue forecasting and optimization to understand the science behind the system. They will seamlessly transition from a high-level conversation about general functionality to nitty-gritty technical details useful to developers. They are comfortable voicing their concerns in real time and consistently take a proactive approach to solving problems, always thinking one step ahead. The RMS Lead is adept at analytics and able to query and visualize data in a compelling way.
Based in Estero, Florida at the Hertz Global Headquarters, the Senior Analyst will report to the Manager of Revenue Management on the Systems Strategy and Analytics team.
The starting salary for this role is between $80-90k, commensurate with experience.
What You’ll Do:
- Validate System Functionality: Validate pre-defined test cases and user stories to ensure that all functional and business requirements are met.
- Perform Data Analysis & Quality Checks: Apply advanced SQL and analytical techniques to verify data integrity, identify anomalies, and troubleshoot issues across large datasets.
- Collaborate & Communicate Across Teams: Works closely with internal and external teams to share test results, relay feedback, and ensure alignment with desired business outcomes.
- Own Issues & Resolutions: Thoroughly log defects, inconsistencies, and potential risks. Perform root cause analyses and collaborate with related teams to find efficient resolutions. Own the lifecycle from identification to resolution, never losing sight of the end goal.
- Champion Thought Leadership: Promote and participate in the exchange of learning across the organization. Offer insights and critical feedback when needed, never afraid to challenge the status quo.
- Continuous Improvement: Pursue technical, functional, and professional development opportunities within the company and industry to stay on top of emerging trends & solutions. Seek out opportunities to make your role and the broader team more effective.
What We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years’ experience in a complex demand/supply planning environment, revenue management role, or systems integration/testing role required.
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics, or Revenue Management
- Advanced proficiency in SQL & Large datasets required: Demonstrated proficiency in writing complex queries, interpreting large data sets, and ensuring data quality.
- Systems & Data Validation: Proven ability to test and validate technology solutions against established criteria, ideally in a revenue, pricing, or related domain required.
- Enterprise Systems Understanding: Familiarity with how systems integrate within a large-scale environment, including data flows, APIs, and enterprise technology stacks required.
- Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving: History of diagnosing issues, identifying root causes, and proposing clear, logical solutions in fast-paced settings required.
- Effective Communication: Ability to articulate complex findings and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders required.
- Knowledge of revenue optimization, pricing science, and economic principles.
- Ability to perform exploratory data analysis in Databricks (or similar cloud data platform)
- General understanding of Python and data science frameworks (Pandas, PySpark)
- Experience working in iterative development cycles, including sprint planning and collaborative release management.
- History of championing team building, development, and mentorship within your organization.
