Be amongst the first members of our accounting team! Reporting to the Head of Corporate Accounting, the Accounting Manager will be a go-to person for all things accounting at Harvey. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-growth start-up, is detail-oriented, and has excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The Accounting Manager will be someone who is operationally proficient while having the skills to research technical accounting topics to resolve issues as they arise.
Oversee the month-end close process to ensure accurate US GAAP financial statements and support analytical review of financials.
Manage daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, procurement, credit card transactions, and travel and expense management.
Prepare, review, and approve journal entries, and develop and maintain account reconciliation workpapers.
Collaborate with Accounting and Finance teams on metrics, flux analysis, and forecasts, and prepare documents for audits.
Identify and drive process improvements, support the implementation of new systems and tools, and assist in developing internal controls and accounting policies.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related; CPA preferred.
5+ years of relevant accounting experience, with a preference for public accounting experience (Big 4 strongly preferred).
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience with general ledger functions, month-end/year-end close processes, and financial audit preparation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and Google Docs; experience with Netsuite, Ramp, Rippling, and Zip preferred.
Excellent writing, oral communication, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills; strong problem-solving abilities and project management experience; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
