Junior Power BI Developer

The Marlin Alliance is seeking an enthusiastic Junior Power BI Developer to join our team supporting Navy clients. In this role, you will work closely with mid-level and senior developers to design and deliver data visualizations, dashboards, and reports, leveraging Microsoft Power BI and Dataverse. This is a fully remote position, but applicants must have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to meet client requirements.
• Collaborate with team members to connect, transform, and model data from Dataverse and other data sources.
• Learn and apply best practices for Power BI development, including performance optimization and user-friendly design.
• Support testing, debugging, and maintenance of Power BI solutions.
• Participate in meetings with clients to gather requirements and present progress.
• Document development processes and solutions to ensure knowledge sharing and maintainability.

Required Qualifications:

• Active or ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or 1+ year of relevant experience.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Power BI, including building reports and dashboards.
• Familiarity with data models, relationships, and Dataverse.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Exposure to Power Platform tools like Power Apps or Power Automate.
• Basic understanding of SQL for querying and manipulating data.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications such as PL-900.

Salary Range:
$70,000–$95,000 annually
