This is a hybrid position.

 

Our Emerging Technology team is looking for an experienced Sr. AI Model Optimization Engineer to contribute to the research and development of the latest On-Device AI Centric optimization techniques to be applied to popular LLM and diffusion models development for our Edge Centric AI products.

 

What You’ll Do:

• Work with the team to lead all on-device AI optimization efforts and collaborate with HQ and other AI Labs for product level technical implementation on our products.
• Define and lead the execution of model compression, distillation, and integrating to the full on-device AI user experiences. We expect you to have strong, efficient ML model development experience and a passion for shipping machine learning models on device

• Grow and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders (AI teams, System IC teams, edge SW teams) to develop an innovative Edge-centric AI applications and platform
• Publishing novel research at top ML conferences.
• Initiate and oversee the development, implementation, administration, monitoring and improvement of security, policies, programs, and protocols
• Work with leading academic or 3rdparty company researchers to expedite edge-centric AI platform development
• Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC)

 

Education and Skills We’d Like You To Have:

• PhD degree in CS or EE with a specialization in, AI/ML, etc. with 2 + years of relevant experience
• Expert-level knowledge of on-device AI model optimization and accelerators
• Familiar with model compression algorithms including quantization, pruning, distillations, and experience on optimizing large diffusion models or language models
• Continued experience researching the latest Generative AI trends
• Good understanding of System Architecture for energy-efficient edge AI
• Experience of hybrid architecture design to maximize edge processing and cloud computation 
• Collaboration experience with internal and external technical partners.
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience working in agile environments with cross-functional delivery teams
• Detailed knowledge of system design and software development methodology and its application to overall system design
