Job Title: Data Analyst
Organization: Component Engineering, Supply Chain Organization (SCO), Juniper Networks, Bangalore
Juniper is seeking exceptional Engineering students to join hands in building the new network. We looking for engineers with strong interest in Coding work for Automation, but contributing simultaneously on Component Engineering roles.
Job Description:
Support resource to Juniper New Product Introduction and Sustaining Products through Hardware Component Engineering and Coding activities. Main responsibilities are on Coding efforts for automation done through SQL, Alteryx coding, working with Juniper IT on implementation, perform Data Analytics and Tableau reporting.
- Understand the business requirements and work on new automation scripting using Alteryx workflows, support on existing Alteryx workflow enhancements.
- Modifications to existing scripts to support priority production needs
- Project data to useful dashboards using Tableau (Design and launch Tableau dashboards)
- Work on Data Analytics on the set of data the scripts work on and get us meaningful information/next steps
- Make an understanding on overall SCO functioning and detailed on Component Engineering functions
- Understand how Agile automation works, key elements in it, key stakeholders
- Work with Juniper IT team to implement the scripts for Automation into Agile production
- Extracting data from Snowflake database using SQL and generate reports for CE team.
Key skills expected:
Must Have Skills:
- Strong fundamentals in Computer Operation (Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Word, etc) and Coding using Alteryx, Tableau, SQL and Snowflake. Academic projects touching any of these skills will add more value.
- Understanding and awareness on Data Science, applications.
- Excellent communication cross functional and problem-solving skills (Got to communicate within CE team, Juniper IT, Business Analytics team, and Project Management team).
- Very good team player with can-do, sincere attitude, ready to partner with Juniper for longer term
- Need to be passionate on the role he/she is assigned to, detailed above, and possess the commitment to stay on the role for some time. Training will be provided by experts from the beginning.
Nice to Have:
- Beginner level familiarization on “Electrical and Electronic Components” and key attributes.
- Hands-on experience developing excel macros using VBA.
Education:
- BE/B-Tech in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science)
- 2-5 years of industry experience in Data Analytics, Coding, Tableau
