Spring Associate Job Summary  

Under general supervision, the seasonal associate uses knowledge and skills obtained through formal education and/or experience to work on specific projects within an assigned functional area. The seasonal associate follows established procedures to perform tasks and receives general guidance and direction to perform other work with substantial variety and varied complexity. Some judgment is required to adapt procedures, processes, and techniques to apply to more complex assignments. Routine contact with internal and external customers may be required to exchange basic information. 

 

This is a temporary role. 

 

Work Schedule: Up to 24 hours per week for a limited time, determined by department need.

Duties and Responsibilities 

• Apply data engineering skillset on fixed income data. For example, data processing, cleaning, outliers detection, data warehouse maintaining. 

• Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability. 

• Test your ideas on efficient data query, develop analytical tools and programs and work with traders, data scientists and engineers to evaluate business needs and objectives. 

• Specified projects and varied assignments. 

• Works independently on assigned projects and tasks, meeting all delivery deadlines. 

• Operates standard office equipment and uses required software applications. 

• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 

Qualifications

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 

Knowledge of

• Programming: SQL, Python (Required). R/Java/C++ is a plus. 

• Fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of a professional office environment. 

• Basic concepts, principles, and practices of an assigned business unit. 

Skill in  

• Analyzing large quantities of raw data with a detail-oriented approach 

• Data collecting/cleaning; preparing data for prescriptive and predictive modeling 

• Operating standard office equipment and using, or having the ability to learn, required software applications. 

• Ability to work effectively as part of a virtual/hybrid team. 

• Hands-on experience with Oracle database is preferred. 

Ability to 

• Organize and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. 

• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. 

• Work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. 

• Provide a high level of customer service. 

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships. 

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements 
Education/Previous Experience

• Must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science or related field 

• Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources. 

Licenses/Certifications 

• None required.

• No travel required.
