Position Summary:
Support the B2C Teams (Trade /Digital Business/ Retail / E-com) by putting together new processes and methodologies to ensure full understanding and execution of the strategy and plans for OMNI team. Capturing key data, analyzing and creating queries and data sources from all available sources that will be used to support the accuracy of sales previsions and forecasts as well as provide recommendations on strategic matters.

 

A day in the life of a Sales Planning Analyst:

 

Performance Analysis and plans
•    Build and check accuracy of databases and queries on various sources (internal and external)
•    Build, analyze and interpret performance data by consolidating and confronting data in the Trade and Direct Channels
•    Imagine and build processes and tools to predict sales and performance based on historical and other available data
•    Enable the accessibility of information (Forecasts/phrasings/ analyses) to all users via dashboards or other available tools
•    Ensure full support to end users to allow usage of new platform to full capabilities
•    Engage with customers, partners, and team members to offer advice on the most efficient assortment, distribution strategy, marketing plans, and sales expectations.
•    Super User BI (Snowflakes/SAP Hana)
•    Generate weekly and monthly reports on sales and trends with critical metrics for the business
•    Capitalize on existing market knowledge and networks to improve Nespresso's planning capability.

 

Guide management in important sales decisions:
•    Report analysed data including relevant conclusions, ideas and general recommendations
•    Prepare in-depth proposals for change in plans and corresponding forecasts that meet the required needs and ambitions
•    Incorporate and look for opportunity, risks, conflicts in between different plans to continuously improve and optimise the business.

 

Develop methodologies and Processes:
•    Review with the Sales Planning team all the processes and methodologies
•    Develop and track Key performance indicators
•    Ensure appropriate data and software are used to provide decisions that support the business
•    Transfer - Build - new reporting to Power BI platform
•    Analyze alternative tools to improve the planning processes and include continuous innovation

 

Role Requirements


•    Degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Applied Analytics, Accounting, Business Management, Economics, or Finance
•    Bachelor’s Degree in business related fields such as Finance, Economics, Marketing, or Retail Management is preferred. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
•    Retail and/or Sales Analyst, Planning / Business Intelligence experience
•    Advanced experience with Power BI
•    Expert in MS Office (Excel, Power pivot, Power Queries, database management)
•    Knowledge of SQL, R & Python would be an asset
•    Project management experience
•    Bilingualism in English and French language skills are a requirement, as this position requires collaboration with stakeholders across the Canadian market (and/or globally).
