Your team will be…

  • Managing cloud infrastructure in AWS, Gitlab and Terraform. 
  • Enabling the core platform services – AWS services, AWS VPN’s & networking, Kubernetes, DNS, IPAM, load balancing, Palo Alto, Cisco, Cognito, etc.
  • Developing and delivering DevOps supporting practices, standards and infrastructure.
  • Creating and maintaining the Pipeline as Code to build, configure, deploy, and test our cloud resources and applications
  • Ensuring that our platform is scalable, fault tolerant and highly available

Responsibilities

  • Create infrastructure code and reference architectures for orchestrating environment.
  • Support pre-production and production environments, diagnose and troubleshoot problems in code and in the environment, conduct root cause analyses and incident post- mortems.
  • Work extensively with customers to successfully implement VPN’s across environments.
  • Act as a mentor for other members of the team and developer community.
  • Lead the design, deployment, and automation of cloud infrastructure resources on AWS.
  • Implement and manage AWS networking, VPCs, subnets, route tables, security groups, and NACLs.
  • Design and implement security best practices for AWS S3, including bucket policies and data protection strategies.
  • Manage AWS Identity & Access Management (IAM) roles, policies, and permissions for least privilege access in tandem with OKTA.
  • Configure and maintain AWS load balancing, AWS Lambda, and related services for high availability and scalability.
  • Design and deploy infrastructure-as-code using terraform for automation and consistency.
  • Utilize SNS, SES, SQS for messaging, notifications, and communication services.
  • Use Python (especially Boto3 library) for automation and scripting tasks.
  • Write Python, BASH and PowerShell scripts to automate operational processes.
  • Create technical diagrams and architecture designs to communicate solutions effectively.

 

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • AWS Cloud, Terraform & Gitlab experience is a must-have skill.
  • Must have solid skills on AWS –DevOps/ CICD, SCP, VPN’s, Transit gateway, RBAC
  • Must have experience with IT system integration into customer networks.
  • Must have solid Terraform coding skills – new modules, config mgmt., deployment, workflow & TF state mgmt., manage PAC, Maintain clean, scalable, reusable IaC.
  • Must have skills on GitLab CICD - Forks, Branches, Merge & Pull Requests
  • OKTA Identity Management and Access Management basics: SSO, RBAC, Active Directory, least privilege principles
  • All around strong understanding of IT infrastructure
    • Must understand Networking, firewalls, Storage, PKI, LDAP, etc.
    • Must have experience with IT system integration into customer networks
  • Experience in IDEs - like Visual Studio Code or VSCODE or similar
  • Working knowledge of Powershell and Bash shell scripting languages (A MUST)
  • Understanding of JSON and YAML file\data formats (nice to have)
  • Collaboration & Problem-Solving: Work closely with development teams to identify and resolve application issues. Use strong problem-solving skills to debug and mitigate issues in production.
  • Kubernetes, Containers, Palo Alto Firewalls, AWS networking, and/or Prisma Cloud.
  • Experience implementing secure techniques related to Regulatory Compliance (SOC2, HiTrust, HIPAA)
  • Working knowledge of GitLab, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, SonarQube, ArgoCD, Artifactory, and / or DataDog

 

Good to have Skills

  • Scripting & Automation: Automate cloud infrastructure tasks using scripting languages such as Python, Go, Bash, or similar, to streamline deployment and operational processes.
  • Design, develop, and maintain the Cloud infrastructure for AI/ML-enabled applications using infrastructure-as-code software tools (e.g., Terraform, Puppet, Ansible, Salt, Chef)
  • Experience with various messaging systems, such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
  • Amazon Q services 

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 5+ years’ experience in software engineering / system administration  OR 8+ years’ experience in software engineering in lieu of a degree
