Responsibilities

Position Purpose: The Business Analyst position exists to ensure the seamless integration and optimization of business data to drive informed decision-making. By leveraging data engineering and visualization techniques, the role supports the global operations portfolio in generating actionable insights from large datasets for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

Technology Ecosystem:  

• Database: SQL, Databricks
• Programming languages: Python
• Data visualization: Power BI
• AI tools: ChatGPT 

Primary duties will include:   

• Analysis of business data flow and specification.  
• Continuous collaboration involving engagement with SMEs to validate data.  
• Partner with internal stakeholders to drive organizational success, fostering open dialogue to address potential issues and uncover opportunities for business improvement.  
• Work with data teams to improve data quality / add data in absence  
• Preparation of curated dataset for creating KPI reports using SQL and/or Python. 
• Assist in validating existing business dashboards and developing new ones using Power BI.

Qualifications

To land this role you will need:  

• Knowledge of capital markets and experience with investment products, with a particular emphasis on derivatives.  
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in an analytical role within the financial industry, preferably as a Quantitative Analyst. 
• Demonstrable domain expertise in product metric identification, improving data quality, experimentation design and execution.  
• Very good knowledge of SQL enabling data analysis.   
• Can-do attitude, sense of ownership and a team-player approach.  
• Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex issues to non-technical parties.  
• Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to produce high quality, accurate work. 

What makes you stand out:   

• Having programming skills in Python for application in data science/engineering projects will be an additional advantage.  
• Experience with financial products and/or payment systems background in innovation including design thinking, prototyping and have solid commercial awareness.  
• Experience working with distributed, multidisciplinary teams across the globe.   

Education / Certification Requirements:  

• Educated to degree level or equivalent.  
• Additional certifications in finance as well as technical skills will be an added advantage. 

Working environment:  

• Hybrid (2 days from home, 3 days from the office) at our Cracow office (Mogilska 35 street).
• Private parking for employees.
