CVP seeks a mid-level DevOps Engineer (with an active Secret clearance) to support a Government client with techncial knowledge and support building and troubleshooting CI/CD solutions for multiple projects. Responsibilities
- Develop CI/CD pipelines using various tooling to drive rapid delivery of functionality.
- Code and troubleshoot all infrastructure artifacts and their associated inter-working parts in a manner that most effectively promulgates re-use of code in higher and/or lower environments
- Automate manual processes to improve the efficiency, reliability, and security of Cloud-hosted networks and systems.
- Serve as a DevOps advisor for client systems and networks within on-prem and cloud environments focusing on automation.
- Introduce DevOps concepts and educate clients.
- Participate in business development activities including demo creation and presenting to clients
Qualifications
- BA or BS degree in Computer Science or related field and at least 2+ years of fully relevant experience
- Solid understanding of and experience with provisioning and managing infrastructure as well as applications in cloud environments.
- Experience with identifying and implementing automation for CI/CD.
- Experience with On-Prem and migration to Cloud Platform.
- Hands-on development experience with Bash (mandatory), Python (mandory), Groovy (mandatory) or Ruby (optional).
- Experience with open technologies like Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, including Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Jenkins, GitHub, Puppet, Ansible, Git and others
- Experience working with XML, JSON and YAML for configuration.
- Must have at least 2+ years development experience writing code in different programming languages
- Excellent written and verbal client-facing communication skills
- Experience with software development processes or Agile development, including Scrum, Kanban, rapid prototyping, or similar environment
Desired Skills
- Experience with Terraform, SonaQube, Docker-Swarm
- Experience with designing and administering microservice architectures
- Experience using containers and popular container orchestration systems like Kubernetes
