Site of Care Senior Analytics Senior Associate

What you will do

The Commercial Analytics team at Amgen plays a pivotal role as a strategic partner to Commercial leadership, offering data-backed insights crucial for driving commercial success. As a Site of Care (SOC) Analytics Senior Associate, you will assist in insights generation by integrating multitude of secondary data sources and engaging several Commercial Data and Analytics (CD&A) colleagues to develop an understanding of Rare Diseases. SOC focuses on analyzing and optimizing the locations where patients receive care, such as hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities. The goal is to enhance patient outcomes, improve operational efficiency, and reduce costs by making data-driven decisions about where and how care is delivered.

You, as our Site of Care Analytics Sr. Associate, plays a pivotal role as a strategic partner to Commercial leadership delivering Site of Care reporting and business insights, with a strong focus on the Patient Services and Market Access teams through custom, data-driven analytical projects. This position will be instrumental in the development and ongoing tracking of management level reports, dashboards, and ad hoc requests

Responsibilities will include:

  • Utilize various data sources including IQVIA OneKey, Veeva CRM, claims, sales, internal patient HUB etc. to identify areas of strength and weakness for various internal teams including market access and patient services teams
  • Support initiatives to build and implement management level reporting/KPIs tracking while manipulating of large data sets
  • Partner with data management/governance teams to continuing to refine SOC database and ensure it is up-to-date with latest account affiliations
  • Support SOC strategy/KPIs by developing automated reports and generating insights for the team
  • Identify business questions and determine the optimal approach to answer them through data, analytics, market research, etc.
  • Support SOC marketing with data requests and insights
  • Develop and maintain management reports, KPIs, and dashboards to provide clear and concise information of Site of Care cross tabbed with Payor Performance, utilizing visualization tools to present data in an easily understandable format.
  • Merge various Payor bridges into standard naming convention
  • Work on Site of Care patient access improvement opportunities segmentation
  • Model Appropriate Site of Care team sizing, while utilizing patient forecasts and translate it into Site of Care support)
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to help synthesize findings, develop recommendations, and articulate actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of the CD&A team's capabilities by researching and implementing new analytical tools, methodologies, and data sources.
  • Collaborate with the broader CD&A organization to integrate comprehensive insights and analytics.

What we expect of you

Our ideal candidate is a team player with customer focus. He/she is problem solving and result oriented and has time and process management skills and can compile data.

Proven experience and skills needed:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Pharma/Biotech operations research, statistics and/or analytics and reporting experience
  • OR Master’s degree and 3 years of computer science, business intelligence and/or analytics experience
  • OR Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of computer science, business intelligence and/or analytics experience
  • University Degree in computer science, finance, economics, mathematics, healthcare or related field
  • Proficiency in two or more: MS Excel, PowerBI, Tableau, SQL, R, Python, or SAS.
  • Fluency in English, both in written and oral communication.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint knowledge

Preferred Requirements:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in data management and data platforms, statistical modeling packages, and advanced analytics
  • Proficient in the use and interpretation of pharmaceutical data including Veeva, Rx, physician and claims level data sets
  • Demonstrated success developing and presenting solutions to complex business situations leveraging novel recommendations supported with thorough analytics
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of industry trends, policies, and technologies affecting the pharmaceutical sector
  • Capable to identify & define business problem, and address through data, analytics, and research
  • Strong relationship management skills and ability to influence stakeholders of varying levels within the organization
  • Strong oral and written presentation skills, with ability to explain complex concepts verbally or visually via PowerPoint
  • Consistently engage and collaborate effectively with cross-functional team to shape brand strategy and understand risks and opportunities
  • Patient and customer centric focus, with an understanding of service models
  • Demonstrates a service-minded attitude
