About the Role:
We are looking for an intellectually curious, process-oriented individual with a passion for data topics to join our iptiQ Americas Data Science & Analytics team.
The Data Analyst will contribute to the success of iptiQ Americas by supporting the development and execution of data initiatives and projects that align with the business objectives and strategy. Responsibilities include all or some of the following:
• Create and maintain data visualizations to enable automated tracking of important metrics
• Create, maintain, and run scripts (e.g., Python, R) for advanced data manipulation and analytics
• Perform assessments to identify, log and resolve data issues
• Assist with ad hoc data analysis requests
• Help define and implement data quality KPIs to measure and improve data quality
About the Data Science & Analytics team:
iptiQ Americas DS&A team provides analytics and data management expertise to business stakeholders across insurance value chain components including generating business insights, developing predictive models and provide strategic recommendations to drive operational efficiency.
About You:
As a member of iptiQ America's Data Science & Analytics team, you will help to influence, shape, and optimize business strategy and operations. The team strives for "best in class" data, analytics, and governance practices in Swiss Re and in the insurance industry.
Must have:
• At least 4 years of experience related to data/business analysis, data management, data automation or data modelling
• Experience with databases, SQL, and data visualization tools
• Experience with various data manipulation, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling tools and techniques (e.g., Python, R)
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills to promote data awareness and adoption across the organization
Nice to have:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information management, or related discipline
• Previous experience in the insurance or financial industry
The role is open to our Armonk, NY and Boston, Mass -- office locations. For roles located within our Swiss Re offices, our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office three days per week.
The estimated base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $162,000. The specific salary offered for any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget. At Swiss Re, we take a "total compensation approach" when making compensation decisions. This means that we consider all components of compensation in their totality (such as base pay, short-and long-term incentives, and benefits offered), in setting individual compensation.
