Position Summary

As the Data, Reporting & Analytics Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development and implementation of data reporting and analytics solutions within Oracle Cloud ERP system. You will oversee a team responsible for ensuring accurate, actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions and enhance operational efficiency. This role reports to the Technical Group Lead for CPS Energy’s ERP Transformation Program.

This position ensures accuracy and insightful data is readily available to business area customers by leading extraction and transformation efforts. Previous experience within the utility industry is preferred. The ideal candidate will be an innovative thinker, leading the team to develop multiple models for predictive analytics to empower and meet organizational goals. Collaboration across technical and business teams, including executives and operational stakeholders, is critical to success. This role offers the opportunity to shape the organization's data and analytics strategy while contributing to a transformative ERP implementation.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Value Creation:
  • Visualization of key metrics across various modules within the Oracle ERP platform.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand the reporting needs and translate them into effective solutions using Oracle Cloud reporting tools and other analytics capabilities.
  • Design and deploy advanced reporting and visualization solutions using tools like Tableau or Power BI to deliver real-time, actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Implement best practices and framework for collecting data, analyze & builds models working with compliance.
Business Operations:
  • Design data models within Oracle Cloud ERP system, extract relevant data points from various sources or modules using data integration tools and maintain data quality, integrity, accuracy, and consistency. 
  • Partnering with business area customers to identify and document reporting needs which includes Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), operational metrics, financial reporting and establish data governance, policies and procedures for data security and accuracy. 
  • Create appealing dashboards and data visualizations utilizing appropriate reporting techniques to effectively communicate the complex data records or information.
People Development:
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of data analysts, report developers, and other data professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Conduct training and skill development initiatives to enhance team proficiency in Oracle Cloud ERP reporting, analytics, and data governance tools.
  • Identify skill gaps and recommend hiring or development strategies to build a versatile, highly skilled team.

Minimum Skills

Minimum Knowledge and Abilities

Proven experience in data management, reporting, and analytics for ERP systems.Expertise in Data Visualization Tools.Experience in data warehousing and data lake concepts is a plus.Certifications:Oracle Cloud Data Integration Certified Implementation Specialist, Oracle Analytics Cloud Certified Professional, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Foundations Associate, andTableau Desktop Specialist, Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, or Microsoft Power BI Data AnalystFamiliarity to design & implement reporting solutions within Oracle Cloud ERP tool. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross functional teams and present data insights to stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Advanced certifications in data management and governance:
  • CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional), DAMA Certified Data Professional, or an equivalent certification in data governance or modeling.
Project management certifications:
  • PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE2 Practitioner, or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM).
Advanced Oracle Cloud certifications:
  • Oracle Analytics Cloud Professional, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Associate, or Oracle Cloud Enterprise Data Management Specialist.
Advanced data visualization certifications:
  • Tableau Certified Professional or Microsoft Power BI Advanced Analyst.
Proficiency in data cleansing, data transformation and data visualization techniques.

Minimum Education

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

Required Certifications

Working Environment
