Job Summary and Description

This position is part of the TPG Global Industrial Engineering (IE) team reporting the Sr. Manager of Budget and Planning! The TPG IE team handles supporting the Technology & Products Groups (TPG) department with the budget capital and operating expenditures. Lead budget analytics through data engineering & reporting. Partner globally with Engineering teams, Procurement, Finance, and TPG Senior Leaders is a primary expectation of this role in pursuit of supporting TPG’s footprint. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Safety

Ensures the completion of the required safety training and conducts all work in accordance with Micron and Technology & Products Group (TPG) safety policies

Abides by all safety and environmental procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws

Reports all safety-related concerns or problems at once to the appropriate individual (Emergency Response Team, Supervision, etc.)

Performs audits and submits good catches on safety issues

Communication/Collaboration

Works closely with collaborators to develop improved budget analytics (TPG Operations, budget teams, Process and Equipment Development, Finance and Procurement teams)

Provides regular status updates to TPG Leadership

Presents budgets (Opex and CAPEX) P2P and outputs

Recommends innovative ways to improve data analytics and front-end summaries to aid decision making

Project Management/Planning

Designs and coordinates projects with several different departments

Develops timelines with achievements for sophisticated tasks and projects

Minimizes duplication through effective planning

Adjusts plans based on execution to achievements and factors in capabilities when setting plans

Technical/Data Analysis

Applies IE concepts and statistical analysis

Data engineering and analytics

Builds innovative data solutions using IE knowledge to continually improve the strategic forecast

Evaluates what-if scenarios representing changes to metrics and partners with engineering to understand the impact of the changes

Uses experience and observations to craft experiments to get to the root cause on issues

Analyzes and interprets internal and external data sources to suggest planning changes

Incorporates experience & observations to design experiments to resolve vital area changes

Develops methods for testing and tracking and measuring data

Drives action through effective data and clear communication

Successful Candidates must have the following Qualifications:

Intermediate understanding of database management methods and techniques

Strong skills in computer science (ex. SQL, python)

Intermediate skills in visualization tools (ex. Tableau)

Intermediate to expert problem-solver: understanding of data, good data intuition and data visualization skills

Knowledge of data collection, warehousing systems, and data cleansing

Excellent multi-tasking, time-management, organization, and prioritization skills

Proven track record to establish and maintain effective relationships

Consistent record to communicate complex analysis in a succinct, clear, and actionable manner

Proven track record to plan, drive and complete projects effectively

Shown skills in working effectively with team members from various subject areas

Demonstrated critical thinking skills

Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills

The ability to be detailed oriented and able to follow complex procedures

Proven track record to prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple tasks

Sophisticated skills in Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, and Power Point

Demonstrated ability to continuously learn and self-improve

The ability to identify, develop, propose, and implement effective plans to improve overall efficiency

Demonstrated ability to prioritize and efficiently facilitate meetings and project teams

Demonstrated analytical problem-solving skills with ability to solve complex problems and address root causes

Strong partnering and team-working skills

Proven track record in multi-tasking complex projects

Proven track record to communicate and present technical information effectively

Advanced data extraction, analysis, and reporting skills

Advanced understanding of statistics

Advanced understanding of area tool configurations, capabilities, processes, and mechanical functionality

Solid understanding of manufacturing science including scheduling and inventory management

Demonstrated skill at prioritizing area projects for engineering and production based on capacity and cycle time needs

Education and Experience

Required: BS in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Operations Management (POM), equivalent degree, or relevant experience

Preferred: BS in data engineering, analytics, or programming field

Preferred: MS in an Engineering or data analytics field

Preferred: Minimum 5 years within TPG or MFG planning, budget, or process functions
