Job Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Works with the Data Architect to stabilize, improve and evolve our Business Intelligence infrastructure while supporting company reporting needs. In addition, responsible for designing, developing, and managing applications on the Microsoft Power Apps platform. 

Working on-site in Birmingham, Alabama is preferred, however, open to consider remote work. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / DUTIES

  • Builds systems and infrastructures that collect and process data according to company needs and goals.
  • Leverages existing data infrastructure to fulfill all data-related requests, perform necessary data housekeeping, data cleansing, normalization and implementation of required data model changes.
  • Builds, evolves and scales out infrastructure to ingest, process and extract meaning out of data.
  • Performs and supports data pulls from AX & D365 ERP and other data sources identified
  • Monitors and maintains Azure Data Factory pipelines used in the ETL process
  • Understands business needs to turn collected data into useful and actionable reports and dashboards for end users.
  • Troubleshoots problems, identify possible solutions, and resolve accordingly
  • Recommends and implements best practices for Data insights working with Data Architect
  • Works with divisions to formulate the best practices for optimum performance of custom divisional reports
  • Develop applications with Microsoft Power Apps to meet business requirements and streamline processes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate requirements into functional solutions
  • Design, test, and deploy applications incorporating user interfaces, workflows, and data integrations
  • Ensure applications are efficient, scalable, and offer a user-friendly experience
  • Maintain, update, and support Power Apps applications to ensure optimal performance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Power Apps applications and integrations
  • Document application development processes, including design specifications and user guides
  • Stay updated with the latest features and best practices for Microsoft Power Apps to improve application quality continuously.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED

Bachelor’s degree plus related experience (business process definition, software integration, reporting, etc.) is required; OR an equivalent combination of related education and/or experience is required.

 

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

5+ years of experience in business intelligence & data warehousing experience. 3+ years of experience in Power App development. Demonstrated leadership capabilities.

 

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Computer expert. Proficient with computer tools, online reporting software and computer programs (Microsoft Office Suite). Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance, Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management and Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement a plus. Experience on data projects and advanced reporting tools (SQL, Azure, PowerBI, any other SaaS reporting framework) is required. Extensive knowledge of Azure & Azure BI. Expertise in Power BI, Power BI Paginated Report Builder, DAX & Power Automate solutions. Expertise in data ETL process and performance optimization of data warehouse. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid, unbiased conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions furnished in written, oral, mathematical, diagram or schedule form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to work in a fast-paced, lean, global environment supporting multiple industries. Excellent problem-solving skills and team player.
