Senior QA Engineer – Data Specialist

As a Senior QA Engineer at Aspire, you will manage and maintain the quality of our data-driven solutions, ensuring their accuracy, reliability, and performance. You will design, implement, and execute comprehensive test plans, leveraging your expertise in test automation and working with large datasets. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues, while continuously optimizing testing processes to ensure seamless functionality and high-quality deliverables.

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for data-intensive systems.
  
• Validate ETL processes, data pipelines, and data transformations.
  
• Automate testing for data processing workflows using appropriate tools and scripts.
  
• Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution.
  
• Collaborate with development teams to improve data quality and system performance.
  
• Conduct root cause analysis on data and system issues.
  
• Mentor junior QA engineers in data-related testing.
  

What you’ll need

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role with at least 2 years focused on testing data systems.
  
• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or any IT-related field.
  
• Proficiency in SQL for data validation and analysis.
  
• Experience with ETL testing, data pipelines, and data warehouses.
  
• Familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium, Postman, or similar.
  
• Strong understanding of data quality concepts and frameworks.
  
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  
• Familiarity with IT security best practices (ISO/SOC or similar standards) and how they relate to data integrity and system testing.
