As we continue to expand, we are looking for a talented Data Analyst to join our dynamic Business Development team in Harrogate.

Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our rapidly growing Business Development team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing market intelligence and supporting various financial and business development projects. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our PBSA, Build to Rent (BTR), Co-Living, and Single-Family Rental (SFR) sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide and support market intelligence on rental levels and occupancy both internally and externally for PBSA, BTR, Co-Living, and SFR sectors.
  • Build accommodation schedules based on floor plans and client information provided.
  • Work within the business development team to propose rental levels, operating pricing, and assumptions.
  • Prepare and analyse historical financial information to support financial and business development projects.
  • Lead and support various value-adding commercial projects, including analysing revenue and costs versus projections.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities to be implemented in financial modelling.
  • Assist with and prepare Net Operating Income (NOI) models.
  • Support initial client queries on NOI models.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to gain feedback on rental proposals, market rents, and inflation in given markets.
  • Assist with new client financial onboarding.
  • Provide financial support and analysis as needed.
  • Collate and manage a portfolio-wide database to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial modelling.
  • Suggest and support process improvements.
  • Provide support to the wider business development team.
  • Build strong relationships internally.
  • Work closely with the procurement, sales, and finance teams.
  • Conduct market research for PBSA and BTR sectors.
  • Manage and prioritize own workload to ensure timely delivery and client satisfaction.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Experience in the real estate or student accommodation sector would be a plus but not required.
