The Supplier Diversity/Equity Data Analyst will calculate and analyze measures and key performance indicators which will result in the embedding of an I.D.E.A. listic culture within Health and Hospital Corporation: a culture that incorporates the BIG I.D.E.A. of Inclusion. Diversity. Equity. Accessibility. Central to the role is assisting the Supplier Diversity Director in building a world-class supplier diversity initiative. Secondary responsibilities include supporting the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Accessibility team with analytical and process-oriented assistance. The Supplier Diversity/Equity Analyst will help develop internal programming, assist with compliance tasks and corporate solicitations, attend outreach events, interface with potential vendors, compile supplier diversity data, and perform data analysis all under the guidance of the Supplier Diversity Director. Overall, the Supplier Diversity/Equity Data Analyst will support, assess, and assist with ensuring corporate-wide compliance with Health & Hospital’s supplier diversity program requirements. In addition to reporting key Human Resources measures and data points, the role requires the ability to approach the work based on a thorough mapping of the health equity field and an understanding of framing and narrative in achieving health equity goals (both internal and external) and staff/culture goals relevant to elevating the IDEAlistic culture. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supplier diversity, possess subject matter expertise in the discipline, and a desire to assist HHC in expanding our supplier diversity initiatives in-house and within the Indianapolis community at large. We are looking for a candidate who is well-organized, analytical, process-oriented, creative, personable, and hospitable. Health & Hospital Corporation, and our divisions, Marion County Health Department, Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services, Eskenazi Health, and our affiliate, American Senior Communities, is a municipal corporation. As a public sector agency, we provide Marion County, Indiana with healthcare and other public health services. Our supplier diversity initiative is focused on ensuring diverse suppliers are included in our procurement activities and that the corporation follows city, county, and governmental guidelines that govern our procurement and supplier diversity activities.
Essential Duties
- Audit current talent management practices and identify ways to evolve our practices by staying current with the latest trends and providing recommendations and insights based on industry best practices.
Specific areas of focus include:
- Calculates monthly, quarterly, and annual supplier diversity spend.
- Calculates and makes recommendations to support and report metrics for Human Resources dashboards.
- Develops spend utilization reports for internal and external audiences.
- Works with the Supplier Diversity Director to analyze Supplier Diversity spend metrics.
- Meets with diverse suppliers to provide guidance and information on Health & Hospital’s supplier diversity program.
- Reviews payments to diverse suppliers and other diverse suppliers to calculate utilization. rates and progress towards goals.
- Assists with forecasting diversity spend and progress against goals.
- Addresses client inquiries and acts as the primary point of contact.
- Assist with the development and/or delivery of supplier diversity presentations.
- Assist with planning and coordinating supplier diversity outreach activities such as training sessions, workshops, webinars, outreach meetings, and other related events.
- Attends local, regional, and/or national supplier diversity trade events.
- Serves as an internal liaison to help connect supplier diversity to Health & Hospital’s procurement channels.
- Attends solicitation meetings to communicate Health & Hospital’s supplier diversity spend goals and bidder requirements.
- Collaborates with Supplier Diversity and procurement teams to define intermediate goals and develop innovative sustainable solutions to expand supplier diversity across the organization.
- Supports staff with client requirements including preparing applicable spreadsheets, reports, documents, and emails.
- Collects and organizes data, reports, spreadsheets, and databases for analytical reporting.

- Technically skilled individual with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and knowledgeable of web-based applications that include Microsoft Teams, WebEx, Supplier.io, and similar web-based applications and systems.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required. Master’s degree preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- 1-2 years of experience in Supplier Diversity and possess subject matter expertise in supplier diversity.
- Experience in corporate Procurement/Purchasing, compliance, collecting and analyzing data, conducting outreach, coordinating events, delivering presentations with demonstrated knowledge of information management, business intelligence, and data mining or reporting.
- Knowledge of the diverse supplier landscape specifically for minority, women, veteran, and disable owned business enterprises.
- Knowledge of the Tier 1 and Tier 2 procurement channels and how to engage with both for corporate effectiveness.
- Experience working with supplier diversity advocacy organizations with a keen understanding of their purpose and how to best leverage HHC’s partnership with them.
- Experience with governmental processes and reporting to government agencies.
- Experience with community advocacy.
- Knowledge of or experience with contracts.
- Knowledge of or experience with construction contracting and/or construction projects.
- Knowledge of or experience with government reporting.
- Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion programming and methods is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated leadership and success in engagement and mobilization of community outreach efforts at the individual, community, and organizational levels required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience managing outcomes and developing and using data to inform continuous improvement and decision-making.
Working Environment
- The position requires travel in-state travel and a valid driver’s license.
