• The User Interface (React Front End)The Application Backend including associated microservices
• KAFKA integration between other US Bank peripheral systems
• Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing Monitors

 The project is a greenfield application, representing an enhanced iteration of the existing skeleton solution. Its  ultimate goal is to deliver an all-in-one compliance platform for transactions and clients. The project is designed  for long-term development, with the initial implementation scheduled to go live alongside the opening of Moneycorp US Bank this autumn. Subsequent phases will involve further additions to the software, integration of machine learning features, and expansion beyond the US market The Innovation Lab (Skunk Development Team) is a small, fast-paced team that is tasked with development of new applications using innovative technologies. In 2024 this saw the application of a Financial Intelligence Unit that is set to be adopted by the Federal Reserve’s compliance department  Key Accountabilities Include: 

• Build out a new cloud based Soteria 2.0 platform for internal and external usage, with configurable modules for Transaction monitoring, Dynamic client profiling and long term analytics.
• Front end development based on FIGMA designs and implemented using react,Typescript.
• Backend development using the following tools: FAST API, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy, Alembic, Poetry, Mypy, Ruff, Pytest
• Implementing DB Schemas
• Ensure that the system can handle high through-put and scale from design to development.
• Programme according to the team coding standards and practices. Write well documented, clean and reusable code
• Self-motivated to discover new and optimum strategies to improve the system architecture.

 What we’re looking for / Skills that will help you in the role  

• Python, Typescript, React(NextJS/Angular), Fast API(Django/Flask), Cloud Platform(Azure), KAFKA(Event driven architecture), SQL (Microsoft SQL Server/PostgreSQL/MySQL)
• Ability to write clean and concise code that is well documented, logged, and tested, whilst conforming to standard formatting practices.
• Experience with Typescript and Python testing
• Experience in the full code development cycle
• 0.5-3 years of experience in relevant role or research-based experience
• Minimum 2:1 in STEM subject at undergraduate level or masters.
• Interest in technology

 This position is full-time, permanent. The role is expected to be office-based in London.
