We’re looking for an Organic Growth Manager to join our Growth Marketing team and accelerate our growth across all non-paid channels. 

Reporting to the Director of the team, your job is to make Homebase a surround-sound brand in the SMB space. You’ll balance traditional search engine optimization and emerging "search everywhere" strategies—enhancing our visibility across platforms like Google, YouTube, Discover, ChatGPT, and more. You’ll drive brand and non-brand growth by owning Digital PR, first-party data, backlinking, programmatic SEO, and key SEO content.

This role is for you if you want to drive revenue growth—not just traffic growth—by providing an organic experience that builds trust with our SMB owner & manager audience. And you won’t be alone: you’ll partner closely with our Technical SEO Consultant, Content Lead, Organic Content Strategist, CRO Lead, and various external resources.

You are a bar raiser, which means you come with

  • Experience - 4-5+ years of hands-on experience in a marketing  generalist, organic growth, content, or SEO role in B2B SaaS—and stories to tell about driving revenue growth through organic channels 

  • Passion for SEO - You love it all and know every piece builds to big-picture success: keyword research, outlining, on-page optimization, gap analysis, competitive evaluations, algorithm updates, metadata, crawling and indexicality, site speed and structure, backlinking, etc. 

  • Full funnel thinking - You know organic performance doesn’t stop with a keyword or click—it’s also about page experience, email capture, sign-ups, and revenue, and you have wins to share when it comes to it

  • Accountable to quality - Our organic program centers very real small business owners, and your work will center them every day—you know how to work with Brand, CRO, and Content partners to create the ultimate organic experience

  • Authority-building skills - You’ve got some experience running a backlinking, digital PR, or guest post program—or even put out a first-party data report that’s gotten a wicked response from the media. Whatever it is, you know how to build authority for a site and a brand

  • Amped about the future of search - The organic landscape is changing, and that excites you more than it scares you—you have big ideas about how we can win with AI and make an impact on  organic channels beyond Google

  • Toolbox - Obsessed with SEO tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMRush, Ahrefs, SurferSEO,  and SEOMonitor—and you know exactly what you need to track success and make data-driven decisions

  • An unstoppable force - An analytical problem-solver with big ideas who can assess and forecast opportunities, manage month-to-month budgets, and communicate program efficiency to stakeholders

  • Curious - Resourceful, fundamentally curious, and relentless in understanding the “why”. Possesses a sense of urgency in line with our value of “No Day Wasted”

  • Small Business Love - You earnestly care about  the small business community and believe you can run a marketing program that will actually make their lives better

  • Ability to collaborate in the office weekly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays

Bonus points if…

  • You have experience with PLG or freemium models

  • You have experience with SMB SaaS

  • Experience with data visualization and product analysis tools (e.g. Looker, Amplitude)

  • Experience building AI flows with tools like AirOps

  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and Javascript

You will make an impact by

  • Owning site health - Working with developers & our Technical SEO, you’ll ensure everything’s technically sound and optimized for crawling, indexing, and ranking for search & emerging platforms like ChatGPT

  • Wrangling our site structure - As a partner for our Content Lead & CRO Lead, you’ll work together to create the crispest, most highly functional sitemap that works for search engines and humans

  • Being the Homebase authority master - Working with agencies we’ve already got booked, you’ll drive our Digital PR & backlinking programs to make sure our site and brand are strong

  • Scaling search doorways - Leveraging full-funnel thinking, search skills, and a high quality of taste, you’ll work as a partner for our Content Lead to build out our programmatic SEO program, SEO product pages, and core interactive pages (like calculators and tools) to drive traffic, email capture, sign-ups, and revenue

  • Dream big, test small - You’ll build major organic growth programs across multiple channels (YouTube, Google, ChatGPT, Discover, and more) that have a significant impact, but also know that making small, consistent changes (e.g., playing with SERP schema, FAQs, internal linking, updating titles or H2s, etc.) can have just as big an impact over time

  • Killing it on the app store - Combining your search & user experience know-how, you’ll help us win on the app store, working with an agency partner to increase total monthly sign-ups

  • Analyze, analyze, analyze - You’ll constantly monitor competitor strategies, industry trends, algorithm updates, CRO & content trends, and small business trending topics – as well as your own program results – so our brand always stands out in the search game

  • Collaborate & innovate - You love working cross-functionally to align on broader marketing and product goals, and you’re eager to be an active part of  a team that’s adopting emerging tech (e.g., LLMs) to future-proof our product & marketing programs
