The Senior Product Analyst will monitor product performance, collect valuable customer feedback, and drive strategic decisions based on key performance indicators (KPIs) specific to each product. They will work closely with product teams to contribute and help shape Skillable’s product strategy through informed insights drawn from comprehensive data analysis.
Responsibilities
- Analyze metrics to continuously seek ways to improve Skillable products; study all product data including, but not limited to customer feedback, sales data, usage data, etc.
- Work with product managers to gather and manage product ratings and reviews including, but not limited to, net promoter score.
- Research, collect, and analyze data on how customers interact with products, including product discovery research, post-launch monitoring and usage patterns as well as assisting product managers and designers to define product KPIs and outcomes to determine overall product success.
- Partner with product leadership to develop, maintain, and improve reporting frameworks for weekly, monthly and quarterly reviews and roadmap prioritization.
- Communicate changes in metrics, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders, including product managers, product designers, product operations and leadership.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of data by implementing data validation checks and working closely with other data analysts and engineers to resolve data discrepancies.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, engineers, and subject matter experts to uncover data and analysis needs.
- Respond to ad-hoc data requests and perform analysis as required by the business to support strategic decision-making.
- Help develop a company culture of data-driven decision-making.
- Support and promote company values through positive interactions with internal and external partners and customers regularly.
- Partner across the Product Team to train and empower other team members to self-serve the data, metrics, and analytics they need wherever possible.
- Other strategic business initiatives or cross-functional project involvement as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (product management, business, product development, etc.) or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years experience in a product analytics or business analytics role working cross functionally to establish KPIs, instrument data tracking mechanisms, and synthesizing and reporting outcomes
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools such as Pendo, Heap, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics
- Experience with data visualization products (i.e. Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
- A proven record of synthesizing large amounts of data and types of data to drive objective decisions
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with our data and technology stack (Power BI, SQL, Pendo, MS Azure) preferred
- Experience in SaaS companies, particularly EdTech preferred
- Experience with experimental design and statistics and can leverage for analysis and assessments of A/B tests preferred
- Proficient in using Python and / or R for statistical analysis preferred
Salary Range
The base salary for this position is $120,000 - $140,000 annually. Consistent with applicable laws, compensation will be determined based on the candidate's level, relevant skills, qualifications, and experience along with requirements for the position and annual financial plans.
Skillable is a distributed first team with employees working across the U.S., and we do not consider geography when determining compensation ranges.
Please note that it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range. Skillable reserves the right to modify this compensation range at any time.

Working Conditions:
The job conditions for this position are in a remote home office setting, requiring a space that supports privacy and focus to attend to regular and frequent video and voice calls. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Periodic travel may be required equaling up to approximately 10% of the time.
