The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Regional Principal Consultant to join our growing Regional Strategic Pursuit team. As a Principal Consultant specializing in Hybrid/Multi-Cloud, AI/ML, and Application Modernization, you will be a recognized expert and thought leader in the APAC region. You will play a critical role in enhancing our market presence through technical content creation, industry speaking engagements, serving as an influencer and authoritative technical expertise voice. You will provide deep technical expertise, thought leadership, and strategic guidance to both internal teams and customers who are looking to leverage AI/ML, migrate to the cloud, transform their workloads, or modernize their applications. Your measure of success is our elevated brand equity in the market and our revenue growth.
This role requires a strategic mindset, customer obsession, deep understanding of the APAC market, a strong technical foundation on Cloud architectures, in AI/ML and cloud technologies, and excellent communication skills to effectively engage with customers and drive successful outcomes.
 

The Main Responsibilities

Thought Leadership: 

• Maintain deep technical expertise in your area of specialization, staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices.
• Develop and deliver compelling thought leadership content focused on AI/ML, cloud adoption, and application modernization trends in the APAC region, including white papers, blog posts, presentations, and webinars.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings as a subject matter expert.
• Contribute to the development of innovative solutions and service offerings related to AI/ML, cloud, and application modernization.

Strategic Pursuit: 

• Lead technical solution strategy, architecture design, service design, commercial frameworks for strategic, large & complex opportunities in your domain specialization, that meet customer requirements and align with business objectives.
• Conduct technical deep dives and solution demonstrations for prospective clients, showcasing our cloud services value proposition, our reference architecture, methodologies and application modernization offerings.
• Develop and deliver compelling presentations and proposals that clearly articulate the value proposition of our solutions.
• Collaborate with internal engineering, product, and delivery teams to ensure seamless solution implementation.

Mentorship & Training: 

• Mentor and coach junior members of the pre-sales and solution architecture teams on AI/ML, cloud technologies, and application modernization best practices.
• Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the technical skills and knowledge of the team.

Strategic Initiatives: 

• Contribute to the development of the pre-sales strategy and roadmap for AI/ML, cloud, and application modernization solutions in the APAC region.
• Identify and evaluate new technologies and market opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with key technology partners in the AI/ML and cloud ecosystem.

Influencer & Regional Advocate: 

• Represent the APAC region as an influencer and thought leader within the global pre-sales community.
• Collaborate with global counterparts to share best practices, insights, and lessons learned.
• Advocate for the needs and interests of the APAC region within the global organization.
   

What We Look For in a Candidate

• Bachelor's, Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field is a plus.
• 7+ years of experience in a technical pre-sales, solution architecture, or consulting role, with some prior experiences in applying AI/ML to solve business challenges..
• Core Cloud & Infrastructure skills and experiences:
  • Deep expertise in major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) with relevant top-tier certifications
  • Proven experience designing and implementing hybrid cloud architectures
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures and microservices
  • Container orchestration expertise (Kubernetes, OpenShift, EKS, AKS, GKE)
  • Experience with VMware virtualization stack and hybrid solutions
• Infrastructure as Code & DevOps skills and experiences:
  • Expert-level proficiency in multiple IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates)
  • Advanced Git workflows and CI/CD pipeline design
  • Expertise in GitOps practices and tools (ArgoCD, Flux)
• AI/ML Infrastructure & Platforms skills and experiences:
  • Experience designing ML Operations (MLOps) platforms
  • Understanding of ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
  • Experience with ML platforms (SageMaker, Azure ML, Vertex AI)
  • Data pipeline and ETL architecture design
• Security & Governance skills and experiences:
  • Deep understanding of cloud security architectures
  • Identity and Access Management across multiple clouds
  • Compliance framework implementation (SOC2, HIPAA, PCI)
  • Zero Trust architecture design
  • Data governance and sovereignty solutions
• Architecture & Design skills and experiences:
  • Enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman)
  • Distributed systems design patterns
  • Event-driven architecture implementation
  • API design and management
• Project & Consulting Skills skills and experiences:
  • Solution architecture documentation
  • Technical roadmap development
  • Risk assessment and mitigation strategies
  • ROI analysis and business case development
  • Technical team mentoring and leadership
• Emerging Technologies skills and experiences:
  • Serverless architecture design and implementation
  • Edge computing and IoT solutions
  • Service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)
  • Event streaming platforms (Kafka, Event Hubs)
  • Blockchain platforms and integration
  • Quantum computing awareness
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and trends in the rapidly evolving field of AI/ML
• Passion for staying abreast of the latest advancements in AI/ML and applying them to customer solutions.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proven ability to design and implement effective solutions to address customer challenges in network modernization.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectives.
