Who we are looking for

State Street is executing an enterprise-wide (“One State Street”) Investor Data Products & Analytics strategy, expanding on the data products that we offer clients today within our Global Markets business and State Street Associates. The team will develop and bring to market products from State Street data to create new value for State Street and its customers. This includes conducting research, ideating for new products, building requirements and roadmaps, working with the Commercial organization to successfully launch new data products, measuring their in-field performance against KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), and implementing improvement strategies and tactics. The business will procure and maintain appropriate data rights to ensure that we can be successful in our commercialization plans.

What you will be responsible for

  • Collaborate with internal and external sales, relationship management, and coverage partners to drive adoption of State Street data products across targeted client segments
  • Work with sales and RM partners to identify and engage with potential clients to develop sales pipeline for State Street’s data business
  •  Act as subject matter expert to educate internal sales teams, clients and prospects about the value proposition for State Street’s data products
  •  Develop use cases and practical examples by client personas to highlight use cases for clients and prospects

 Partner with sales and relationship management colleagues across Investment Servicing, SSGA, Global Markets, Alternatives, and State Street Alpha to identify and engage with prospects and convert them to paying clients

  •  Build and maintain relationships with top clients to ensure satisfaction; Present and solicit client feedback on new product development initiatives and features
  •  Provide subject matter expertise and market intelligence regarding alternative data and other indicator products

  • · Extensive network among institutional investors, hedge funds, and investment managers
  • · Deep understanding of financial and alternative data space and its applications in investment decision-making, portfolio and risk management
  • · Significant experience in developing and nurturing long-term business relationships and creating new market opportunities among institutional investors
  • · Proven track record of developing new business pipeline to meet and exceed sales targets, in partnership with sales and coverage colleagues
  • · Experience with subscription-based revenue models, enterprise sales cycles, and on-boarding clients at large, regulated financial organizations
  • · Proven experience in complicated negotiations and managing extended sales cycles
  • · Experience navigating a large, complex organization and collaborating with colleagues across multiple business lines to achieve business goals

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • · 10+ years of experience representing investment research, financial data, and analytics products to institutional investor clients
  • · Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or a related field; MBA preferred

Salary Range:

$170,000 - $267,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
