We are growing our team in Data, Digital Sales and Engagement (DDSE) Norway. We are looking for a person that loves working with data and analysis to join our existing Analytics team. We are a group of specialists in various fields: everything from digital marketing and content production to web analysis and data science. Collectively, we are responsible for engaging new and existing personal customers in digital channels, and driving sales via online/mobile banking and nordea.no.

About this opportunity
 

This is a role within Personal Banking (PeB) Analytics for Data, Digital Sales and Engagement. 

 

In DDSE, we are building the omnichannel customer journey seamless experience and for that we need to connect different data sources across our platforms and applications. Right product, right message, in the right channel, at the right time for the right customer. We are looking for a curious, driven Data Analyst that is a crucial part of implementing this strategy. Someone who is comfortable working on their own or as part of a small team to support Personal Banking. 
 
Joining the team will provide you with opportunities to use your experience with data management, data analysis, data engineering to support data-savvy end-users. 

 

What you'll be doing:

As a Data Analyst, you will enable Digital Sales to use different data sources to create the omnichannel experience, provide insights and recommendations through data analysis, contribute to driving intelligent automation by applying model-based solutions, simplification of processes, and identification of new data sources to our marketing automation tools. You will collaborate with the team to develop our data into advanced AI models, predicting customer's future needs and behaviour in digital channels.

 

In addition you will be:

  • Participating actively in discussion within Digital Sales teams for expanding the usage of data in marketing campaigns
  • Enabling data points/new data tables for our marketing automation tool(s) and documenting the process
  • Helping on the set up of marketing campaigns: suggest target group, evaluate data availability, discuss with the team on control groups, monitor the outcome of the campaign and evaluate the results
  • Proposing and recommending analysis of different data sources
  • Analysing existing data sources and its quality
  • Collaborating with stakeholders and colleagues on using data to resolve a broad spectrum of business problems
  • Supporting and engaging in team discussions related to identifying and defining business requirements when it comes to data, its quality and methods for data manipulation
  • Enabling and contributing to create the necessary space for building together the framework for data scientists. From extracting, processing and preparing data to development and prototyping

Your experience and background:  

  • Academic degree in highly quantitative discipline or specialisation such as Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or Finance, and you have strong understanding of statistical concepts (e.g. Hypothesis Testing) and machine learning models
  • 0-3 years of experience in data analytical skills. Ideally you have experience working on data science projects delivering tangible benefits/outcome
  • You are comfortable in using one or more data science programming language i.e. Python, Pyspark, R, SQ
  • Share “make it happen attitude” – have a proactive, innovative and can-do oriented mind-set with the ability to convert new ideas into concrete actions
  • Proficient in written and spoken Norwegian and English


Your application will benefit from demonstrating experience in the below:

  • You know your ways around tools like IBM  data scientist suit, Git, Hive, Snowflake, visualization tool such as Power BI
  • You understand the principles of working with an Agile development approach
  • Financial industry expertise
