To be eligible for PGE's Internship program, you must be at least 18 years old and have met one of the following criteria:

A high school senior that has enrolled in a college or trade school

A current college or trade school student who is returning to college or a trade school as a full-time student

A recent 2022-2023 college graduate

You must provide verification of your student status by submitting your college transcript (an unofficial one is acceptable) or letter of acceptance to a college or trade school with your online application. PGE Summer Intern – Energy Market Data Analysis & Integration

This summer, take on an exciting challenge as a Market Data and Settlements Analyst Intern supporting the implementation of the Extended Day Ahead Market (EDAM) onboarding at PGE. This cutting-edge project, in partnership with the California ISO, is set to transform how energy is traded and managed across the West, delivering economic and environmental benefits while advancing grid reliability and clean energy integration. As an intern in this critical area, you’ll work at the intersection of market operations, data analytics, and financial settlements.

In this role, you’ll support the analysis, validation, and management of market data critical to EDAM’s success. Your tasks may include reviewing settlement quality meter data (SQMD), supporting the configuration of market settlement systems, and conducting data analyses to identify trends, inconsistencies, or opportunities for optimization. You’ll also gain hands-on experience with the tools and methodologies used to ensure that market transactions are accurately settled and that all participants’ financial obligations are met within compliance standards.

Job Function

Technical Provides support in the areas of science, technology, and mathematics.

Key Responsibilities

Departmental Support May perform administrative, technical, or scientific tasks, such as collecting samples or completing spreadsheets, in support of department assigned. Research and Analysis May perform research and analysis under general supervision. May gather qualitative or quantitative data and develop reports or spreadsheets. Internship Program Events May participate in company-sponsored internship activities.
 

Education/Experience/Certifications

  • Currently an actively enrolled graduate student (recent graduate accepted) in good standing and pursuing a graduate degree, preferably in a field related to internship; GPA of 2.5 or higher preferred.
  • Some prior work experience preferred.
  • Requires a valid drivers license and a history of safe driving practices.

Compensation Range:

$16.00 - $178,375.00

Actual total compensation is commensurate with experience, skills, and education.
