Senior Procurement Data Analyst and Digitalization Specialist (m/f/d)

Verantwortlichkeiten & Qualifikationen

What awaits you:

  • You support the procurement team to evaluate data, present the results and develop recommendations for action
  • You provide support for operational & strategic procurement activities by research and analyze market trends, supplier landscapes, and industry benchmarks
  • You collaborate with digital product and governance teams to improve data accuracy, including the management of incidents, change requests, and root cause analysis
  • You develop cross functional relationships efficiently with other areas (FI, IT, Operation, Supply Chain) to become a trusted business partner
  • You design, create, maintain and monitor visualizations and reports based on the needs of procurement organization
  • You train and support team members on new digital tools and data-driven decision-making
  • You plan and organize data migration and mapping efforts with plant and regional procurement resources
  • You identify and leverage internal and external data sources and integrate to the existing enterprise data warehouse
  • You prepare and consolidate the data to ensure easy accessibility for various tools such as Excel or Power Bi
  • You lead the implementation of automated tools and technologies to streamline procurement processes

 

How you convince us:

  • You hold a university degree in Industrial Engineering or related studies
  • You have at least 5 years experience in procurement with broad understanding of procurement operations and strategic procurement / sourcing
  • Ideally you already gained experience in manufacturing and you understand the operations work environment
  • You have very good SAP ECC / MM experience
  • You are an experienced user of all major MS-Office tools like PowerBi, Databricks, Azure & ERP System such as SAP and Oracle
  • Ability and willingness to work in a virtual team
  • Excellent communication skills (in writing and verbal) and able to build relationships with internal and external collaborators
  • Experience with advanced application of data analytics, science techniques and tools in a complex business environment, including the application of general statistical concepts against large volumes of data
  • Proven experience in leading complex projects, engage and coach project members and keep all stakeholders involved
  • You are strong in process thinking and very good in problem solving
  • You demonstrate project management skills to lead on time and on budget delivery in a complex environment
  • You are a team player but also able to work independently
  • Preferably you are an experienced user of Coupa and other eProcurement tools
  • You are fluent in English and German; French and/or Italian language skills would be a plus

The Göttingen plant in central Germany is an important European site for the production of beverage can stock and surface-treated aluminium for many attractive markets and employs around 700 people. It specializes in the surface treatment of aluminium coil stock and includes a research and development center primarily concerned with the study and development of surface coatings and the simulation of end-product manufacturing at the customer's site. In addition, the Göttingen plant supplies extruded bottles, cartridges, and cases for the automotive, construction, pharmaceutical, food and chemical industries.

Novelis is committed to the local community and works in numerous collaborations with schools to promote math and science education as well as robotics competitions and workshops.  The two plants in Nachterstedt in Lower Saxony employ around 1,050 people and are one of the biggest employers in the region. The rolling mill supplies high-quality, surface-refined aluminium products to the automotive and can-making industries as well as to industrial and hardware stores. The recycling center - the largest of its kind in Europe - is dedicated to recycling used beverage cans and other waste.# Novelis Nachterstedt is strongly involved in local activities in cooperation with schools and universities to promote interest in science and technology. The plant is also known for its ongoing support of safety education provided for kids at kindergarten up to the local fire department.
