You will experience a team of great diversity both within competencies, experience, gender, and nationality. We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. This role will focus on creating and maintaining an automated testing framework for the ML-based pipelines forming our Forecasting Systems, including model training, deployment, and inference stages. This position requires a unique blend of QA engineering, software development, and a deep understanding of machine learning and data science products.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement an automated testing framework for ML-based pipelines
- Play an active role in architecture design stages of the forecasting products to ensure built-in testability of ML systems from design
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for integration, regression, and performance testing
- Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to ensure the quality and reliability of the forecasting system
- Develop and execute automated tests for model training, deployment, and inference stages
- Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies
- Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies
- Mentor and guide junior QA engineers in best practices and advanced testing techniques
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in QA automation and machine learning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as a QA Engineer, with a focus on automation and integration testing
- Strong programming skills in Python, preferably with fluency in the usual data engineering and data science stack
- Proficient in using pySpark and Databricks
- Experience with QA tools and frameworks like Selenium, Cucumber, Business Driven Development (BDD) or similar
- Solid understanding of machine learning concepts and data science workflows
- Extensive experience in testing backend components of ML-based systems
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Bitbucket, AzureDevOps or similar
- User experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
