About our chatbot Ruby 

Our chatbot, Ruby, is the most used contact channel for over 4 million members across 6 countries. In recent years, we have made significant improvements, including user recognition, an employee chatbot and AI summaries for Customer Support  agents. We’re constantly looking for ways to improve the member experience whilst remaining scalable. Such as diving into chatbot transactions, system integrations and experimenting with AI service agents and other LLM tools. We’re looking for a motivated team member who is eager to help us elevate the chatbot experience even further.  

This is what your assignment looks like 

As a Product Owner Chatbot, you will bring a strong understanding of Conversational and Chatbot technology, along with how these systems integrate and align with Basic-Fit’s overall strategy. You'll be able to clearly communicate to stakeholders the value and relevance of using chatbots and conversational technologies as key components of our growing business. 

You’ll have a good understanding of why members are reaching out and how to enhance the chatbot to reduce manual cases in our customer service department. Your focus will be on developing smart features that improve the chatbot's capabilities. As the chatbot’s ambassador, your ultimate goal is to ensure that our chatbot becomes the go-to channel for members' questions and requests, valued for its ease and efficiency. 

You will work closely with our conversational designers, frictionless experience analyst, as well as our IT department and external platform partners. 

Your responsibilities will be: 

• Backlog Management: Create and manage the product backlog for both internal and external developers, prioritizing tasks based on business needs and customer value. 

• Feature Development: Plan and coordinate the development of smart features for the chatbot, focusing on increasing efficiency and user satisfaction while preventing manual cases in customer service. 

• Stakeholder Communication: Clearly communicate the importance and relevance of chatbot technology to stakeholders, showcasing how it integrates into Basic Fit's overall strategy. 

• Product Ambassador: Serve as the chatbot’s ambassador, provide product demos and be an inspiration for the business.  

• Problem Identification: Identify and signal problems within processes and workflows, recommending improvements and relevant tools or software. 

• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on developments in conversational technology, always looking for smart ways to enhance the chatbot and create more personalized experiences. Investigate and integrate advancements in LLMs, AI service agents and other innovative solutions. 

We ask: 

We are looking for someone with proven experience as a hands-on Product Owner or in a similar role, with a solid understanding of agile methodologies. You should also have strong technical capabilities, including knowledge of chatbots and related technologies.

• Great communication skills in English, both written and verbal. 

• A proactive mindset with the ability to propose solutions and facilitate implementation. 

• Ability to explain complex technical information in a clear and understandable manner. 

• Flexible team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and values continuous learning and growth. 

• Good stakeholder management: you like to work with many different internal and external stakeholders  

• You are pragmatic, result driven and quick on your feet to act on new insights. 

• You are proactive and always looking for opportunities to improve.  

• Eager to delve into new topics, such as LLM, AI, and voice technologies, even if you're not yet an expert, and excited to learn by immersing yourself in these areas.
