The value that Deloitte Risk Advisory Africa creates for organisations is synonymous with operational excellence.  Governance Regulatory & Risk services help organisations protect and enhance value by managing risks and opportunities, addressing compliance and supporting management and board oversight, including internal audit, through out-of-the-box solutions with the view to turning risks into value-creating opportunities.

Risk Advisory maximise the performance of internal business operations by identifying, predicting, resolving and mitigating imminent threats and obstacles as well as enhancing the value of these operations. This is done through customised value propositions and solutions for organisations.

Job Description

We are seeking a Data Analytics Junior Consultant / Consultant to join our Risk Advisory team in Windhoek, Namibia. In this role, you will leverage your analytical skills to help our clients identify, assess, and mitigate risks through data-driven insights and solutions.

  • Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and potential risks
  • Develop and implement advanced analytics models to support risk assessment and management
  • Create compelling data visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings effectively
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions
  • Assist in the development of risk management strategies based on data-driven insights
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends in data analytics and risk management
  • Contribute to the preparation of client presentations and reports
  • Support senior team members in client engagements and project management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 0-3 years of experience for Junior Consultant; 3-5 years for Consultant role
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, or R
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
  • Strong understanding of statistical analysis and machine learning techniques
  • Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and risk management practices
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance in the financial sector is a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Relevant certifications such as CRISC or CISA are advantageous
  • Willingness to travel as required for client engagements
