Job Description
ROLE OVERVIEW
As the Business Intelligence & Insights Lead at the Bank, you will play a pivotal role across the bank in driving the data-driven decision-making processes. As a central function you will be integral in building and shaping data visualization and insights capability within the Analytics Chapter. Reporting directly to the Analytics Chapter Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of analysts (decentralised and centralised resources), delivering analytical capabilities and tooling within the bank, as well as defining and embedding enterprise standards. The individual will work closely with the data governance and data platform team, as well as key business stakeholders within the organisation. The team is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of data while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. The successful incumbent also has a track record of leading Analytical teams within a bank, driving outcome-based performance. As this is a new position within the bank, the individual will be granted the opportunity to build out their respective area, aligning the vision of this function to their core values and growth outlook. This role is a new role, which presents an exciting opportunity to shape the analytics function within an exciting digital bank.
KEY DELIVERABLES
OM Bank aims to set a differentiated standard for its Analytical Capabilities. This includes:
Control
· Develop, embed and maintain BI and Insights standards
· Create and deliver training on BI and insights standards
· Deliver BI capabilities, including the RFI process and technology implementation.
· Own and manage the Analytics Chapter sprint management, leading stand-ups and progress tracking.
· Own partner management of all capabilities that fall within the Analytics Chapter. · Implement monitoring systems for BI standards adherence and technology usage.
· Lead forums to discuss BI practices and standards.
· Implement measures to protect the use of inferred sensitive information in AI modelling.
· Collaborate closely with data governance and data engineering to ensure standards across functions align and adhered to by the business.
· Develop and enforce quality assurance processes for analytics deliverables.
Serve
· Lead the analytical maturity growth across the business. Market the use of intelligent decisioning, model development and AI to meet specific business use cases.
· Align analytics services with business strategies and needs.
· Deliver meaningful business intelligence and insights to the product owners, enabling the bank to deeply understand customer and make informed decisions based on data trends and predictions.
· Ensure project quality and adherence to standards.
· Recruit and develop analytics talent, fostering skill development.
· Maintain analytics tools and frameworks.
· Oversee the management of analytics projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
· Develop and deliver regular reports to clients (PO’s & Chapter Leads) on analytics outcomes and insights.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS
· Post Graduate Degree in Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
· 5+ years of experience in Analytics.
· 3 Years’ experience in a leadership role within an analytics environment, preferably Banking or Credit.
· Experience in model development, decisioning and model management lifecycle (including governance).
· Experience Drafting and implementing Standards
· Proficiency in data analysis tools (SAS, SQL, Python, R). · Commercially minded.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Translate data and analytics strategy and vision into data architecture, defining and implementing models, rules, and standards for design and governance.

Create and execute a long-term strategy for leveraging data and analytics as a key business enabler and competitive differentiator across the business.

Communicate the function's strategy and its relationship to the organization's mission, vision, and values; clarify the actions needed to implement this strategy within the area of responsibility; motivate people to commit to the mission, vision, and values and do extraordinary things to achieve the organization's business goals.
