About the Role
We are looking for a full-stack data analyst who can take end-to-end ownership of the data and analytics ecosystem at Valon. You will be responsible for building out our reporting, generating insights, creating data products, supporting our data infrastructure, and more. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the organization and serve as the authority on the key metrics which drive our business. The right candidate is analytical, works well under changing circumstances, and has a good mix of technical skills and business intuition.Responsibilities
- Build knowledge and expertise around the data tables across all areas of the business
- Fulfill audit and exam requests from third-party clients and regulators
- Build and deliver custom reporting to third-party clients
- Write SQL queries, build dashboards, and conduct ad hoc analysis to empower operational leaders to understand business performance, make effective decisions, and root cause results
- Work with other data analysts and data engineers to make improvements to data models
Ideal Background
- 5+ years of full-time work experience in data analytics or business intelligence, ideally at a mortgage servicer or bank
- Expertise in SQL required (Python skills a plus)
- Expertise in Google sheets and/or Microsoft Excel
- Experience using data visualization tools
- Ability to solve problems independently and build process around situations that have not been encountered before
- Experience working with cross functional data team members

- Base Compensation Band: $72,000 - $120,000
