Job Overview:
CES is seeking a skilled and experienced Data Migration Architect to oversee the migration of data from various legacy systems to SAP. This role focuses on the Extraction, Transformation, and Mapping (ETL) processes to ensure accurate and seamless migration of data into the SAP system. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in data migration methodologies, ETL tools, and database technologies but does not require prior experience with SAP.

Responsibilities
•    Collaborate with business and technical teams to understand data structures, relationships, and dependencies in legacy systems.
•    Develop efficient extraction processes to retrieve data from legacy databases or file systems.
•    Analyze and interpret data structures to design and apply transformation rules for data cleansing, standardization, and enrichment.
•    Implement business rules to ensure data consistency and accuracy during the transformation process.
•    Work closely with functional teams to map data fields between legacy systems and target SAP data structures.
•    Define data migration specifications and create detailed mapping documents.
•    Conduct pre- and post-migration data validation to ensure accuracy, integrity, and completeness of migrated data.
•    Design and build ETL pipelines using industry-standard tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS, etc.).
•    Optimize ETL processes for large datasets to maintain performance and scalability.
•    Engage with business analysts, data owners, and end-users to gather requirements and understand data usage scenarios.
•    Develop and maintain detailed documentation of mapping and transformation logic for audit purposes.
Must Have:
•    Experience with data migration to ERP systems
•    Proficiency in ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, Microsoft SSIS, or similar.
•    Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript for custom ETL requirements.
•    Advanced SQL skills and expertise in handling large datasets and complex queries.
•    Knowledge of database systems, such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.  
•    Ability to analyze and interpret data requirements and provide technical solutions.
•    Strong logical and conceptual thinking for developing transformation rules.
•    Strong understanding of data migration methodologies and best practices.
