The Positions:

The Senior Data Engineer will design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines, databases, and systems that support our organization's data-driven initiatives. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to ensure that our data infrastructure is robust, reliable, and optimized for performance as well as delivering Power BI solutions to support analytics. Responsibilities Include:

• Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient ETL/ELT pipelines to process and integrate data from various sources
• Build and manage data architectures leveraging Azure Cloud services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Synapse
• Develop and optimize solutions in Snowflake, including schema design, performance tuning, and data ingestion workflows
• Implement Azure DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, for streamlined data deployment
• Data Quality and Integrity: Implement and monitor processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across systems
• Design visually engaging and performance-optimized Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to stakeholder requirements
• Develop semantic models and configure data relationships to support business needs
• Set up and manage dataflows for reusable, centralized data preparation
• Data Integration: Integrate data from structured and unstructured sources, including APIs, cloud services, and third-party applications
• Automation and Monitoring: Automate repetitive data tasks and establish monitoring systems to detect and resolve issues proactively
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data pipelines, processes, and systems
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with data governance policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements

Schedule:

• Standard business hours Monday-Friday
• Will be a hybrid position

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
• Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud Services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake)
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
• Knowledge of setting up and managing Power BI dataflows
• Expertise in SQL and database technologies (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar)
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data integration techniques
