Marketing Data Engineer
Tel Aviv-Yafo, IL
Description
Guardio is a B2C cybersecurity startup offering security and privacy solutions directly to consumers - regular people, not corporate companies. We develop products you’d want for yourself, your parents, family, and friends. Our goal is to protect real people from cyber problems and crime. We try and avoid buzzwords, but sometimes those keywords are necessary: we help our customers avoid and combat the modern world’s security threats, like phishing, financial scams, malware, browser hijacking, identity theft, data leaks, and a whole lot more.
Guardio is a relatively small company (we just passed 80 people) on a rapid growth path, and we’re looking for core team members to join our team. We already have well over a million registered customers and plenty of new products and features in the pipeline.
So, what's the job?
We are seeking an experienced Marketing Data Engineer to join Guardio’s Data Team. In this role, you will take ownership of building and optimizing the infrastructure, tools, and processes that support user acquisition and marketing analytics. You’ll collaborate closely with the User Acquisition team to enable seamless integrations, automation, and insights for data-driven growth.
You will:
- Take technical ownership of the User Acquisition team’s data tool stack, managing new implementations for tracking, reporting, and automation
- Implement and maintain integrations such as tracking pixels, server-to-server (S2S) connections, and event tracking systems to support marketing campaigns
- Build and enhance spend/performance reporting pipelines to provide real-time insights into campaign performance
- Act as a technical point of contact (POC) for the User Acquisition teams. Set standards and help troubleshoot issues (such as invalid URLs, naming conventions, and API errors, including coordination with external partners)
- Design and implement attribution models to measure and improve campaign effectiveness
- Improve the User Acquisition team’s productivity by developing and implementing automation solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges and provide support for marketing initiatives
Sounds great! Am I the right fit?
Well, our guess is you have a good chance of being that person if you check as many of these as possible:
- 3+ years experience as a Data Engineer
- Strong understanding of marketing data ecosystems, including APIs, tracking pixels, S2S integrations, and event tracking systems
- Very high level of SQL and data warehouse modeling
- Proficiency in Python for automation and data manipulation
- Experience with Cloud platforms such as GCP / AWS
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with different teams
- Familiarity with modern data stack tools and platforms such BigQuery, DBT, Airflow or similar
- Experience working with Kubernetes and Docker - An advantage
