As a senior data analyst on the data and analytics team, you’ll closely partner with different teams, both technical and non-technical, to identify new customer insights and assist enhancing business operations that impact millions of customers in Canada.

We practice a remote first working model, leveraging in person interactions at our head office, in beautiful Vancouver, BC, for strategic, collaborative and social purposes.

Join our innovative Analytics team as a senior data analyst.

What you’ll do:

• Lead problem research, insights exploration, metrics design, and data storytelling to provide actional recommendations on business operations and product roadmaps.
• Optimize cost and revenue potential via opportunity analysis, forecasting, or simulation.
• Design and build experiments to measure impact of technology and operational changes that impact millions of customers.
• Create self-serve dashboards to track KPIs and support insights exploration.
• Partner with leaders in Retail Stores, Asset Management, Loss Prevention and HR to identify strategic growth opportunities for Best Buy.

What we’re looking for:

• 3+ years of experience working in an analytics related/relevant business area.
• Self-starter, Fast leaner and problem solver, enjoying work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work in multiple data-related areas like data analysis, experiment design, data modeling, writing complex SQL queries, Power BI dashboarding, ETLs etc.
• Advanced proficiency with SQL and Python.
• Ability to explain and apply machine learning models to solve business problems effectively.
• Ability to convey complex technical information in a digestible format to audiences ranging from your peers to senior executives.

Annualized base pay range

$95,000.00 - $100,000.00

Starting pay offered will consider skills and experience. Your pay can grow as you build your career with us.
