Data Manager

We currently have a vacancy for a Java Application Architect fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will perform their services remotely (within EU). The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on-site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated with the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Your tasks:

• Define, prepare, execute and test data migrations and transformations (historical data migration);
• Ensure proper data governance, integration and storage by maintaining and further developing the surveillance data warehouse and automated data flows;
• Assist data providers with their data preparation, submission and quality issues;
• Ensure data quality is properly defined, documented, analyzed and monitored;
• Support data analysis and visualization;
• Support relevant IT projects by ensuring that data-related requirements are properly defined and implemented.

Requirements

• University degree in IT with minimum 3 years of experience in data management OR non university degree with minimum 5 years of experience in data management;
• Minimum 3 years of experience in handling large, complex data sets using SQL;
• Minimum 3 years of experience data quality assurance, including data quality analysis and data validation;
• Minimum 2 years of experience using MS SQL Server;
• Experience in provision of external user support through helpdesk during the past five years will be an advantage;
• Experience in data warehousing (modelling, loading, tuning) during the past five years will be an advantage;
• Experience in ETL tools to create and manage data flows, data migration, data manipulation and
  aggregation during the past five years will be an advantage;
• Experience in Data manipulation using R, Python, or similar during the past five years will be an advantage;
• Excellent command of the English language.
