Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Corporation is seeking qualified applicants for the position of a BI Developer II to join their Nucor Business Technology team. This position is responsible for designing and developing modern data visualizations to support business decision making across Nucor.

Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Stakeholders to translate business needs and data into actionable insights that drive informed decision making
• Design, develop, and deploy data visualizations and analytics solutions using Power BI
• Ensure developed reports are available and perform optimally by tuning queries, refining data models, and maintaining documentation
• Provide timely and effective technical support to ensure a consistent and reliable BI experience
• Participate in agile team planning activities, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Understand existing, new, and emerging BI technologies to enable new and evolving business needs

This is a Charlotte-based, full-time position with the Nucor Business Technology Team.

Willingness to travel periodically and domestically is required to satisfy project or training demands.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Exceptional visualization skills with a proven ability to craft compelling data storytelling to solve business problems and achieve goals
• Ability to integrate data from multiple sources to ensure comprehensive and accurate analysis
• Minimum 5 years of experience in business intelligence or a related field
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields
• At least 3 years of experience developing reports and dashboards with Power BI, including proficiency with DAX, Power Query, and other tools within the BI ecosystem
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL logic for data extraction and manipulation
• Ability to convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Proven track record of establishing productive working relationships
• Maintains a can-do attitude with a flexible approach to shifting priorities
• Proactively assumes and completes both business-driven and technology-driven assignments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with various data architecture frameworks, including but not limited to Microsoft Fabric
• Experience with Azure DevOps and Agile Project Methodology
• Expertise in advanced data engineering techniques
• Experience with emerging technologies, such as generative AI, to enhance BI capabilities and drive innovative solutions
