Job Description

We are currently looking for an MBA intern to join our Ecosystem Solutions Medical Product Marketing teams in our Westborough, MA office (Note: Olympus does not provide relocation assistance or stipends). This role is focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital solutions for healthcare. This program will run from May 19 – August 1, 2025. This is a full-time opportunity involving 40 hours per week at an hourly payrate of $30.00. 

 

As an intern at Olympus, you will contribute to our mission by helping your department complete key projects during your internship with a focus on Software as Medical Devices (SAMD). You will lead independent projects with the support of your team, in addition to shadowing and contributing to higher level initiatives that have a significant impact on the business and the company.

Job Duties

Our team is responsible for the solution management, opportunity discovery, strategic planning, and marketing of Artificial Intelligence (AI) / Software applications for medical use in endoscopic procedures that help enhance patient outcomes.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

  • Research AI technology advancements and present on new opportunities
  • Support the creation of strategic business proposals
  • Conduct interviews with existing customers and employees to develop insights that support new product development opportunities
  • Create key insight summaries regarding activities that support product development and future product launches
  • Organize and evaluate various datasets, including those related to user feedback, regional sales data, user data

 

A typical day for you will include:

  • Assess AI landscape and opportunities
  • Learn about the clinical challenges for the focus clinical area
  • Demonstrate creativity and business acumen by recommending integrated digital solutions
  • Collaborating with your supervisor, as well as cross-functional product and strategy teams, such as product managers, technical leads, partnerships, medical scientific affairs, regulatory
  • Leading projects to completion during the internship program.
  • Actively engaging in and adding value to meetings and discussions.

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Currently enrolled in an MBA degree program at an accredited institution with graduation after the internship ends.
    • Preferred fields of graduate studies include Business Administration, Artificial Intelligence, Product Management, Marketing, Health Technology, Health Administration, Entrepreneurial, Economics, or Computer Science.

  • Demonstrated ability to balance academic and extracurricular commitments (i.e. work experience, clubs, volunteer activities, teams, etc.) and will exhibit proactive engagement in business or technology mentorships outside of their academic studies
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Basic understanding of business, economics, and marketing practices and techniques.
  • Must demonstrate strong communication and analytical thinking skills that can convey actionable recommendations
  • Must be proficient and have practical knowledge in Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to work well within a team and independently at times with limited guidance.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

 

Preferred:

  • Experience with data collection, data analysis, and/or market research.
  • Familiarity with healthcare or medical device industry concepts.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and deadline-driven environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize/execute multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Strong, professional communication skills.
  • Skilled in presentation development and public speaking.
  • General curiosity and a desire to learn new material.

The anticipated starting base pay range for this full-time position working at this location is    , plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). Olympus considers a variety of factors when determining actual compensation for this position including: level of experience, working location, and relevant education and certifications.
