We are seeking a motivated university student to join our Sustainability and Energy Data Management team in Wood Products Division as a Data Analyst/Power BI Trainee.
In this role, you will support the quality, consistency, and accuracy of sustainability and energy-related metadata in our data catalog. Collaborating closely with Data Owners and Data Stewards, you will contribute to enhancing data governance within Power BI workspaces, ensuring that energy efficiency, carbon footprint, and other sustainability-related data are properly managed and accessible for decision-making.
You can be located in one of our locations either in Ostrava or Ždírec, Czechia.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Governance: Assist in maintaining high-quality metadata and reporting related to energy consumption, emissions, renewable energy use, and other sustainability KPIs in our data catalog.
Data Catalog Management: Support the structuring and organization of sustainability and energy datasets, ensuring alignment with governance standards and best practices.
Energy & Sustainability Reporting: Assist in building and maintaining reports and dashboards that track key sustainability and energy metrics.
Data Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits of energy and sustainability metadata to identify and resolve data inconsistencies or inaccuracies.
Collaboration with Data stakeholders: Work with sustainability managers, energy analysts, and data stewards to improve data governance and ensure reliable, standardized sustainability reporting.
Documentation and Training: Help develop guidelines and training materials for data owners and stewards to ensure best practices in sustainability data entry and management.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Energy Management, Data Science, Information Management, Computer Science, Economy, or a related field.
Detail-oriented with a focus on data quality and accuracy.
Familiarity with basic SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data from databases.
Strong communication skills, with proficiency in English.
Familiarity with Power BI and data governance is a plus.
Report building skills (especially for sustainability and energy data) are a plus.
Basic knowledge of energy and sustainability principles, including carbon footprint tracking, energy efficiency, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) reporting is a plus.
