IT Telemetry Engineer

Your role

We’re looking for Telemetry Engineers to:

·      Contribute expertise to enhance and develop the evolving telemetry landscape and associated tooling.

·      Design, plan, and deliver sustainable solutions using modern programming languages.

·      Analyse business requirements from stakeholders across the organization and develop partnerships within Technology Services to deliver cross-steam solutions.

·      Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new tooling and initiatives to support and enhance our existing applications.

·      Conduct code reviews and test software as needed, along with participating in application architecture, design, and other phases of SDLC.

·      Ensure proper operational controls and procedures are implemented to process deployments from test to production.

·      Provide technology solutions that will solve business problems and strengthen our position as digital leaders in financial services.

Your team

You’ll be working in End User Services - Digital Insights team, as part of the Technology division in [Location]. We manage the underlying data framework and telemetry capture for all platforms across UBS. The data and reporting provides benefits to Technology Services and beyond. As a Telemetry Engineer, you’ll play an important role in providing stable and reliable data by supporting the telemetry agent and data streaming infrastructure.

Your expertise

·      Utilize Azure-based services to develop and maintain the telemetry data framework (Event Hubs, Azure Data Explorer).

·      Leverage Azure Data Explorer and Kusto Query Language (KQL) for data analysis and querying.

·      Apply C# programming skills to develop clean code that is stable, operational, consistent, and well-performing to support our in-house telemetry agent.

·      Monitoring of the end-to-end infrastructure providing support to stakeholders by managing escalations and ensuring timely resolution of issues to maintain operational stability and stakeholder satisfaction.

·      Knowledge to apply standards, methods, techniques, and templates as defined by our SDLC.

·      Develop and maintain solutions deployed in a large-scale enterprise environment.

·      Develop Pipelines and PowerShell automations to deploy solutions through the enterprise.

·      Develop new telemetry data collection points, KPIs, and user metrics.
