Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Finance Analyst
In this role, you will:- Advise line of business and companywide functions on business strategies based on research of performance metrics, trends in population distributions, and other complex data analysis to maximize profits and asset growth, and minimize operating losses within risk and other operating standards
- Provide influence and leadership in the identification of new tools and methods to analyze data
- Ensure adherence to compliance and legal regulations and policies on all projects managed
- Provide updates on project logs, monthly budget forecasts, monthly newsletters, and operations reviews
- Assist managers in building quarterly and annual plans and forecast future market research needs for business partners supported
- Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor to staff, interns and external contractors
Required Qualifications:- 5+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:- MBA (or) Cost & Management Accountant (or) MCA / BE (Computer Sciences)
- Certification in data analytics / data sciences from a premier institute or equivalent work experience. [RC] It may be hard to get everything we need so may be fine to keep it bit open.
- Degree, diploma or certification in SQL, SAS, Tableau, Hadoop, Python, or equivalent work experience. [RC] It may be hard to get everything we need so may be fine to keep it bit open.
- Candidate should have good prior experience in database management and database related applications and should be good with all data handling experience.
- Candidate should have good exposure to handling workflow applications, be good with BO and or BI Tools and or similar applications.
- Experience in one or a combination of the following: Finance/Banking, Analytics, Reporting and ETL
- Ability to work both independently and within team environment. Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Industry experience strongly preferred.
- Experience of working across one or more geographic territories or regions.
- Comfortable to work in flexible timings to maximize overlap with US counterparts.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

- Candidate should be a subject matter expert on Data analytics & should have prior experience in all attributes of data handling.
- Capable of conducting in-depth research of large data (financial & non-financial) using various tools and providing insightful solutions to stakeholders.
- Candidate should have good functional understanding of Banking products, their P&Ls focusing on profitability. Exposure to financial valuation is added advantage.
- Candidate should have good expertise on Essbase, SQL (advanced SQL is desired), Teradata, SAS and advanced Excel with VBA macros/ Power Query. Basic understanding of Google Cloud Platform is preferred.
- Candidate should have strong presentation and communication skills with capability to create executive ready materials, write quality documentation on model requirements, inferences and evidencing to various stakeholders.
- Work in tandem / coordination with the technology team, product Finance partners, analytics team and downstream users to build requirements / Functional changes to be implemented in our Teradata environment. This could be for modifications, changes and or enhancements post the review/ validation phases.
- Perform data quality checks & validations of MDSS data, performing in depth analysis, testing for accuracy, identifying and resolving data issues and perform thorough root cause analysis.
- Interact / coordinate with different teams to proactively raise any specific issues or challenges around the business and work independently with the concerned teams to resolve issues.
