The Camera Architect Graduate will work in the innovation team on latest camera product and technology developments. The camera team has been responsible for the design and manufacture of vision based solutions for driver assistance and automated driving applications for over 20 years and has shipped almost 200 million products to date. As part of the role you will work alongside an experienced multi-disciplinary team on advanced camera project designs. In particular the role will be involved in concept evaluation, testing and characterising of new technologies both in the lab and in real world scenarios. This will include gaining experience of ADAS end use cases and considering design impacts on the complete camera design flow including system architecture, optics, electronics design, mechatronic integration, manufacturing and test. You will also gain experience in the system architecture tools, agree requirements in collaboration with stakeholders and develop software and hardware tools to be used in verification and validation through various stages of the product development. As part of the process you will deliver high quality documentation, training and recommendations on your investigations to the wider project team.

Responsibilities:

  • Interact with project stakeholders including project manager, system architects and and cross-department experts (R&D, quality, industrial).

  • Collaboration with system architects to analyse optimum solutions through requirements reviews, proof of concept evaluation and testing activities.

  • Support in engagement with suppliers and OEM’s to discuss camera platform solutions.

  • Develop proof of concepts and demos as part of a multi-disciplinary team

  • Apply industry standard system development life cycle strategies to your development activities.

  • Prepare documentation for concept evaluations including technical presentations, benchmarking analysis and training materials.

  • Present training sessions, reports and status to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Enthusiastic mindset with interest in innovation and technology advancements Education.

  • 2025 Graduate of a Level 8 Honors Degree in a relevant Technical Engineering discipline (Electronics Engineering, Physics or Computer Engineering).

  • Experience of working hands on with electronic devices and components, and software coding for HW/SW integration, through 3rd level education or work placement.

  • Knowledge in common coding platforms is an advantage; Python, C, C++.

  • Knowledge of computer vision platforms such as OpenCV or Yolo would be an advantage.
