Within our EMEA/ APAC-wide Internship Program CareerStart@sas we’re offering a 6-month full-time internship in our Risk, Fraud and Compliance Department as Insurance Industry Consultant Intern in our Huizen office.
About the job
The Insurance Industry Consultant Intern has a very central role in the gathering market requirements, consolidating them, prioritizing them, transforming them into a software offering.
As an Insurance Industry Consultant Intern, your role may include:
- Advising on Best Practices: Understand, apply, and communicate insurance industry best practices and standards to both internal teams and external clients.
- Supporting Sales: Use technical knowledge to support sales initiatives, including assisting with Proof of Concept (PoC) development, creating solution demonstrations, and addressing specific client needs.
- Analyzing System Architectures: Develop a conceptual understanding of client system architectures.
- Enhancing Product Knowledge: Continuously grow your expertise in insurance-specific technologies and solutions through ongoing training and enablement activities.
- Conducting Requirement Analyses: Participate in follow-up meetings to perform in-depth analyses of specific client requirements.
- Creating Supporting Materials: Develop demo scripts, user manuals, and other supporting resources to facilitate solution adoption and client understanding.
Required Qualifications
- You’re a student currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program.
- Target majors include all faculties, including Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Cognitive Science and Artificial Intelligence, Economics, Accounting.
- You’re curious, passionate, authentic, and accountable. These are our values and influence everything we do.
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal English is key.
- You’re interested in the future of Analytics and embrace technology.
Preferred Qualifications
Basic knowledge of Python, R, SQL, SAS is preferred.
CareerStart program date and location: Tentatively April 1 – September 30 (Dates can change slightly due to academic calendars.). Our role is based in SAS Huizen office in a hybrid work setting.
