We are seeking a mid-level Infotainment Automation Test Engineer to join our Farmington Hills, MI team.
A Day in the Life:
Develop detailed test plans to validate Nissan and Infiniti Infotainment user interface software, functionality, and integration within other in-vehicle modules.
Good understanding of Infotainment systems and domains such as Connectivity, Tuner, Media, Phone Projections, and overall complete system test knowledge of HMI & Functional.
Develop test scripts to automate the user interface based on a good understanding of hardware and software architecture.
Develop and implement a framework to enhance the automation pipeline and ensure readiness for upstream technologies.
Integrate existing automation results with project reports.
Finding defects on the system level through automated and regression testing.
Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues related to infotainment systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends and technologies, proposing and implementing improvements to infotainment automation and processes.
Who We’re Looking For:
Understanding of Infotainment Operating Systems such as Android, Linux, and QNX.
Knowledge of CAN/Ethernet communication and experience using diagnostic tools such as Vector CANalyzer, CANoe, etc. Experience with DOIP is preferred.
Understanding of Vehicle Electrical Architecture and Subsystems.
Familiarity with vehicle-level troubleshooting, diagnostics control, and various test equipment (e.g., meter, oscilloscope, power supply, etc.).
Ability to adapt to changing technologies and work in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience:
4+ years of directly related professional-level engineering experience.
Proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages such as C#, CAPL, Python, etc.
Experience with AUTOSAR (Automotive Open System Architecture).
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
ISTQB Certification
Preferred: familiarity with Machine Learning, specifically in vision systems.

Travel:
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Up to 15% of domestic and/or international travel may be required.
Overtime:
Willingness to work overtime as necessary to complete the job.
